Aw hell. Chuck got passed. Trying to hide it didn't work. I'm not making a shit out of this because I thought Charles got pawnd by Clearasil face. Simply really. Not happy about it but it happened.

Yep, exactly! They need a race control like Indy Car. The same guys travel to and officiate every race. You don't have a different "guest steward" at each race. You don't have Emmanuel Pirro at one race, Tom Kristensen at another, Derek Warwick at another, etc. Where and who, exactly is "Race Control" now? I thought They appointed a replacement for Charlie W?Michael Masi is the F1 race director now. The stewards, though, aren't the same ones every race. If they used the same stewards for every round versus this rotational crap they do now, maybe you would see more consistency.....maybe. 🤣

Masi is just a name inhabiting a job, a job for which he has yet to develop any 'gravitas'.

No DNF's Cars are too reliable. I was surprised there were not DNFs. I really expected at least one kablammo given how hot it was today.

No DNF's Cars are too reliable. Need to let them develop over a 1000 BP to see that happen, I think.

Great, now explain to us why Max wasn't penalized today but Nico was for this... IIRC, the penalty on Rosberg was, in part, influenced by the fact he did not turn in until way past the apex on purpose (he was going slow enough to have done so). Therefore it was considered "purposeful" whereas with Max it was incidental; both cars were driving to the limits to make that corner. It's the difference between sliding into someone or driving into someone. And Vettel, IIRC, was penalized because he had left the track and rejoined in an unsafe manner. The fact that he was off the track was the primary issue in the ruling. Very different than this situation IMHO. I didn't even consider it the same and neither does the FIA.

Tires clearly did not suit Mercedes today.

The big issue that some people can't get over is the group of stewards that handed out Vettel's penalty were not the same ones that officiated today's race. So, viewpoints are never going to be on same page no matter how clear the regulations are.

By the book, Max gets a penalty -- no question! However, Leclerc made two mistakes that may have figured into the decision. Leclerc's first mistake was giving Max the inside. He was probably trying to prevent Max from getting a good run on the outside. His second mistake was thinking Max would play fair after Leclerc was able to get a better run coming out of the corner on the outside the previous lap. Max was clearly faster, and we will never know if he could have made the pass anyway because he chose the chickenshit method -- just like Hamilton does -- and that will be his legacy despite the fact that he is a very exceptional driver. Gentleman racers don't win as often as dirty racers.

It doesn't make sense, to me, to have a panel of judges. Just hire Max Mosley to take the post of "Punisher"! I'm only kidding a little bit

No DNF's Cars are too reliable. Need to let them develop over a 1000 BP to see that happen, I think. Eliminate the fuel flow restrictions. Eliminate the 3 engines per car per racing year. STRESS the ICE's STRESS the electrical components. STRESS STRESS STRESS. Today the only thing be stressed is the driver by not driving as hard as they know how to do.
