So France happened. Mclaren remembered they were a race team and DR got in trouble. Hamilton put us all to sleep. Will Max do something heroic or stupid at the Red Bull home race? Will Vettel retire? Haas! Discuss as this is my last race before I go to the Brit GP!

Since my predictions for France were perfect, I thought I'd have another go.
In Austria, a young woman named Maria is failing miserably in her attempts to become a nun. When the Navy captain Georg Von Trapp writes to the convent asking for a governess that can handle his seven mischievous children, Maria is given the job. The Captain's wife is dead, and he is often away, and runs the household as strictly as he does the ships he sails on. The children are unhappy and resentful of the governesses that their father keeps hiring, and have managed to run each of them off one by one. When Maria arrives, she is initially met with the same hostility, but her kindness, understanding, and sense of fun soon draws them to her and brings some much-needed joy into all their lives -- including the Captain's. Eventually he and Maria find themselves falling in love, even though Georg is already engaged to a Baroness and Maria is still a postulant. The romance makes them both start questioning the decisions they have made. Their personal conflicts soon become overshadowed, however, by world events. Austria is about to come under the control of Germany, and the Captain may soon find himself drafted into the German navy and forced to fight against his own country.

I don't like this track for some reason but it sure is beautiful and I hope it rains. And yes, it's better than silverstone!

You know they intentionally drive through the marbles on the in-lap to pick up extra weight for post-race checks, right? that's the point. look at the size of that crap. after a few laps the race track is pretty much down to one car width. ya can't use the whole track because it's full of "clag". :-)

ya can't use the whole track because it's full of "clag". It's the same on every track in every racing series. Nothing new.

...the mind-numbing, spirit crushing compulsion of F1 fandom... Trichotillomania (TTM), also known as hair pulling disorder, is a mental disorder characterised by a long term urge that results in the pulling out of one's hair

Look at the tires after virtually any Club Race and the tires will look the same - hot, sticky race rubber pick up 'marbles' like a magnet - especially if the driver goes off line intentionally to pick up such marbles like F1 drivers do after the race.

Shouldn't intentional clagging of tires for weight-fiddling be punished?

Shouldn't intentional clagging of tires for weight-fiddling be punished? Should that idea even be presented on a racing forum? How do you enforce it. All forms of racing have a number of unenforceable rules. Society has millions of unenforceable laws. Rules and laws should only be those that are able to be enforced.

I'm pretty sure Boomer was being sarcastic.
