Hinch has landed a sponsor that will provide him the budget to do both Indy races. I am guessing Rahal. Not sure Coyne can handle four cars at Indy.
Also Tim Cindric is saying they are going to try to run a fourth car for their Aussie Touring Car champ, Scott McLaughlin. It could happen at COTA or Indy GP.

Would love to see Scotty get a race or two. He has earned it.

McLaren and Alonso end relationship. Contract expired at the end of 2019 and McLaren decided to not renew it.
Huh, so maybe this Andretti deal is really gonna happen.🤨

Neither of them had much to offer the other at this point. The relationship had run its course.

RM is saying the Foyt 14 car will be shared by three drivers. Bourdais will do the first four races. Kanaan will do Indy 500 and the rest of the oval races (five total). Dalton Kellet will do remaining twisties, more than likely.

I only wished for 1 driver for the legendary #14.
And I was shocked that Cobra Kai will drive the #18 car. Never saw it coming. I was thinking that Palou was driving the #18.

Andretti Autosport signs Kyle Kirkwood to its Indy Lights team which is kind of a big deal. He has, basically, annihilated his competition on every rung on Road to Indy ladder up to this point.

^ well shit. That rules out most of the teams.
The 14 is spoken for for the 500. As is a fourth Penske car (Helio). Arrow McLaren has a tba for a third car but he can consider that bridge burnt, if not still on fire.
Connor? Dragonspeed?

It wasn't a bitter divorce, McLaren just going all in on youth movement in F1 and Indy Car. I would think Zak Brown would be open to running Alonso in the third car.

BTW, Ed Carpenter has come out and said he would be open to running Kyle Busch, in a fourth car, if the funds can be raised. If not, Alonso could be an option in a fourth car.
Also, absolutely no way Conor Daly will be asked to vacate his ride for Alonso. Conor got Air Force and Air Force is who they will support.

The reality is probably no triple crown for Alonso now. I think it was Andretti or nothing.
People kept telling me Honda was mad at McLaren, not Alonso. Even after I told them Alonso's GP2 engine comments a few years ago pissed Honda off and Honda never forgets or forgives. They know how to pack a grudge.

This might open the door for Hinch to run at Andretti now.
