Should be interesting! Last year all I could picture in my head is cars racing down the hallways at work but the mix of corners and straight should keep things interesting. Especially T1.

That's a lot of straight bits, can't wait to see toto's wagon skipping off the ground. I couldn't believe how quickly Max would gain on Charles on the straight in Bahrain! That thing was moving! If they figure out how to corner better they will be quickly ahead of the Ferraris. Leclerc did some wily driving as well.

After the race Chuck said he let Max pass into turn one on purpose because he wanted to be behind in the 2nd DRS zone for the re-pass. He didn't wan't Max to have the advantage of being ahead after turn 4.

Hoping for another double-points day for Alpine, but with the drivers in reverse order from last week. I just can't get behind this track, though.

He didn't wan't Max to have the advantage of being ahead after turn 4. Yes, but that still doesn't negate the rate he was hauling him in. I mean, if Chuck coulda stayed ahead he would have stayed ahead. I think the braking was once it was inevitable. That RB was gaining quickly mid-straight, likely long before Leclerc had to make that decision (which was clever and well executed both times).

Max had DRS and warmer tires, and Chuck used the run into turn one to harvest. if Leclec used his battery holding him off into T1 he would have been a sitting duck going into turn 4. Then he would have been stuck behind Max for the rest of the lap, sometime you give a little to gain a lot.

He suckered Max into passing him knowing he could pass him back and retain the lead.

That's a lot of straight bits, can't wait to see toto's wagon skipping off the ground. This is gonna cause problems for the mercs and any other cars that are still bouncing around. There's little of any run off at the ends of the straights. They start bouncing and lose it at bit they're toast. So they raise the ride height a bit and they're slower. For most of the past 8 years their aero was ok. But not the best. But it didn't have to be as their V6 package was .5 to 1.0 seconds faster than anyone else's. They don't have that advantage anymore.
