The Jeddah track may look un-inspired but I have feeling it will be an absolute blast to drive. The drivers will love it and maybe the racing will good. Wouldn't that be nice - let's hope you're intuition is correct...

That lap % at full throttle is right up there with the two highest % circuits, Spa (82%) and Monza (85%).

Potential for pass and re-pass in the two DRS zones from turn 25 to turn 1?

Better nickname this track as "The Twisted Sister" for the multiple number of curves that it has.

The most interesting track design I have seen in years. Hopefully the racing is good.

Looks like a Autocross course on a narrow lot; only bigger.

Track limits that mean something.

Track limits that mean something. Yup it's called Monaco and the passing is HORRIBLE!! They did something similar in Singapore with all the walls and again the passing wasn't great as there wasn't enough room to complete it before the next turn comes up. Yes in both places there ARE passing zones but for the leaders it's not easy because the cars are so similar.

The difference I see in Saudi are the speed of those corners that flow together, some will be flat and some will require a slight lift then back to flat cars should be able to maintain a run and get the pass done on the straight.
Like I said earlier I think the true drivers who have amazing car control will own T4-12 and 15-18. A blind apex with a wall that comes at you fast will make a few of those guys be very careful when they get back on the throttle, if they get on it a half second to soon their ass will be parked in a barrier. The guys that find a rhythm will do very well here, I predict Bottas will be fast on Friday but once the track gets rubbered in he will be off Hamilton's pace.
Honda needs to bring a kamikaze special to try on Friday just to see if its worth the risk, damage limitation for Max is P2 with someone else taking fastest lap from Lewis. If he finishes third and Lewis takes fastest lap Abu Dhabi will be very interesting..

Disaster for either Max or Lewis is if one or both of the McLarens are able to break up the 1-2 train they've had lately. It highlights even more that Perez or Bottas could also be in the same position and disrupt the points available behind the leader.

Lulu may not be comfortable but in Qatar his message was cleared in advance and it's likely the same will be done here. I think F1's pre-race messaging is set. If not then Stefano Bin Domenicalli will have to step in.
