Looks to me there is some outside money flowing into this. I expect a PU rebranding very soon.

I expect that the number of potential new "independent" engine builders for the next spec engine just dwindled to less than zero.

Red Bull is saving over a hundred mil per year under the budget cap, that gives them a nice pile to bankroll what's supposed to be a much cheaper PU spec in 2025. But i do expect them to have an exclusive petro partner chipping in as well.

Yeah, the days of Cosworth are long gone, in fact the way things look even Porsche may be a bit of a long shot now. That is unless Seidl can pull some old strings and work out a McLaren partnership.

Typo, should be: I suspect an automotive OEM will buy the branding.

The opinions from the Merc butt buddies are disgusting. Red bull hires so and so from Merc... Ehhh so he was a janitor last week. Every single time they announce a new hire they start spouting that trash...

Also Ferrari and Renault personnel would have to relocate from outside of England.

Just a guess but the rumored 1 billion dollars Mercedes put into the project might have been more significant than Andy Cowell.

If only for the same reason Renault did the Alpine thing, to give them some budget leeway.

If only for the same reason Renault did the Alpine thing, to give them some budget leeway. Especially considering that the budget cap might be hurting Mercedes already.
