If only for the same reason Renault did the Alpine thing, to give them some budget leeway. Especially considering that the budget cap might be hurting Mercedes already. I sure hope it is!!!

Not to say that it won't happen but the judge's call of an imminent weekend announcement was a miss.

I'm looking for something more official. When you get the translation of the original AMuS article it comes out a little differently which is not unusual for a google translate.

^ I LOLed at the toad trying to ram new regs thru while he's still around to influence things, double LOLs for the proposed 50 mil addition to the 200 mil racketeering scheme (that may not even be legal). All this adds up to "who would even WANT to join this disjointed den of vipers"?

Unfortunately F1 has a certain History and 'Mystique' about it so 'being a part of it' can be a badge of honor at least as long as you tried hard and didn't slink off in the middle of the night or your people were scum of the Earth people.

I don't know now if this is now a Red Bull motors thread or 2025/26 Engine rumors but......................like prepping for Octoberfest in Germany it's the return of the annual German participation party of drinking and rumoring. Both Audi and Porsche are coming!

It's going to be a party.
If these new PU rules are approved as cited Porsche or Audi or both will be the PU name sponsor for the RedBull unit in 2023 or even before.

One of those 2 should actually man up and buy a team.

True, but Porsche hasn't run their own factory race team since the early 1970s. They hire/partner with a race team and then stock it Porsche Motorsports cars, equipment, drivers and engineers and then call it the "factory team".
Teaming up with RedBull is perfect. They can smack a Porsche badge on that formerly Honda PU and call it job done and boom a Porsche Motorsports engine is born/absconded. The Porsche-Piech family is the thriftiest on earth, seriously thrifty and serious super super wealthy because of it. 9th richest family in the world.
I have no idea how Audi ran their their factory race teams.
