I do not understand Bottas. This win was a gift. He is acting like he really won it. He might have anyway with the tire situation, but this clearly was not a head-to-head battle that he thinks it was. Still, at least he did what he needed to do.

I do not understand Bottas. This win was a gift. He is acting like he really won it. If Bottas had a wheel to wheel battle and won that would be another story. His main competition was parked for 10 seconds to allow him to pull away. What I find funny is big celebration on the radio after the race by the team. Does MB really expect to finish anywhere but first? Much of their excitement has to be an act by now. Even for the team, winning every week has to get a little bit old by now.

Just like the BS Toto and Lu Lu spout before every race about how tough their "competition" will be. It is wearing thin this front they are putting up........ Thankfully I have spent about two hours of my life watching the last handful of races thinks to the FF button.

Lewis made his mistake in Q2 to end up on Softs for the start. The Stiff made no such mistake. Add in Lewis and the practice start Mistake/penalty and here we are. Lewis has benefited from mistakes made by others as well. It's racing. I'm surprised to read you commenting like the salty Brits at Autosport. They've made my day and you're right in there. Perhaps the message from the Stiff on the radio post race was aimed at them and you?

Exactly, but I don't think winning is getting old for them.

Notes - a VSC to fix bollards LOL. DR getting a penalty and deciding to drive faster. Britpress trying to make Bottas happen.

But he never does anything wrong. Didn't you get the memo? I'm not sure what's worse - his crying to the pit wall or his fans crying nonstop about the 'unjust' penalty.

Yeah IF Merc had let them actually race, I think Bottas would have had a pretty good shot at it, but Bottas's smugness is a little over the top. Geez.

Hamilton claims FIA trying to stop him with penalty points
Lewis Hamilton claims the FIA is “trying to stop me” by handing him penalty points as he nears a one-race ban after the Russian Grand Prix.
Two separate practice start infringements ahead of the race at Sochi earned Hamilton a five-second time penalty and one penalty point for each, limiting him to third place in the race. More notably, it leaves Hamilton on 10 penalty points for the 12-month period, and with four races where two more would result in him picking up a one-race ban.
“Of course it is (too harsh), and it is to be expected,” Hamilton said. “They are trying to stop me.
