Laguna Seca, 1969. The humiliating end for the Chaparral 2J Chevrolet as it's pushed off the starting grid of the Can-Am with no oil pressure. It was the last time the car appeared in competition. John Surtees qualified 10th, almost six full seconds off of Bruce McLaren's pole.

Brands Hatch 7-30-1967. Phil Hill (No. 1 Chaparral 2F Chevrolet) chasing the No. 7 Ferrari 330 P4 of Scarfiotti/Sutcliffe in the 6-Hour BOAC 500. Hill/Mike Spence won that day. Note the Texas license plate. Jim Hall always ran his cars with a Texas plate while competing overseas.

Brands Hatch 7-30-1967. Mike Spence (No. 1 Chaparral 2F Chevrolet) in the 6-Hour BOAC 500. Mike Spence and Phil Hill won that day, beating the best the Europe had to offer. It was one of the greatest international victories for Jim Hall and the Chaparral Cars team.

Jim Hall's No. 66 Chaparral 2G in the pit lane Road America during the Can-Am race weekend, September, 1967. The famous Chaparral wheels were designed by a GM engineer and when GM let the patent lapse it was picked up by BBS.
