After the season, after they give out the awards, and after their dinner the FIA should get themselves and their cholesterol in a room and end these damn worthless five second penalties. Either make it a drive through penalty or something a little more serious than five seconds after the fact. Whether it’s an hour into the race, or two laps from the end; the fans have a right to know who is on the podium or where the drivers finished. Formula One is supposed to be the pinnacle of racing, not what we have here. 5 second penalties are fine - only they must not be added to the race time - they must be SERVED in the pits and on a stop where no other work is performed on the car. Penalty accrued on the final lap will be a 1 minute time penalty added to the event time since it can't be served during the race. If we are to have painted line 'Track Limits' - FIRST OFFENSE get the 5 second penalty to be served in the pits. Track Limit penalty needs to be severe enough that drivers don't play that close to the edge. This is racing, not baseball with three strikes.

Not having to read about incessant whining about time penalties and track limits after every goddam race is the best reason I know of to shorten the season. We got it the first 117 times.

So once again Lewis does not have a car he likes and trolls around in 9th/10th the entire race. But he is the greatest to be fair, it was damaged as well.

to be fair, it was damaged as well. He bumped Gasly with his wing. What was the excuse in Quali? And do they not have spare wings? Excuses yes they have spare wings, but that takes time. His lap times were generally right about the same as George's. But no, he is not the greatest.

Excuses LOL to the Sky fanbois for actually trying to blame GASLY for Lulu forgetting how to stop a car, and how about that now patented passing off track in the 1st corner. Truly he IS the greatest.

Squeaking things get lubed - oil or shit matters little. If I never hear 'Track Limits' it will still be too soon.

I can't believe Ferrari didn't let Charles do donuts.

And that ^ my friends is irony. Now ^ that's ironic. Why's that? I almost never get into anything about track limits. I just don't see the use in bitching about them all the time like some do almost every race if not more often. I could not possibly care less about track limits. I gave up paying attention to them when Nascar started letting their cars go way off at turn 4 at Sears and turn 1 at the Glen.

All the track limit talk is nonsense. You have white lines, ya go ya get dinged. It’s pretty much straight forward For those that one walls for a white lines, go watch a NASCAR race.

Every time track limits are exceeded the stewards reduce your engine map by 50hp for 5 laps. No track limits will be exceeded.

I can't believe Ferrari didn't let Charles do donuts. In the past they have said it was about the weight or lack of fuel for the mandatory test but I don't really see them running around on the edges after the race is over picking up the rubber to 'increase the weight of the car' post race anymore so who knows.
