https://www.instagram.com/p/Cp-1M-BLmxI It was a great feeling about getting a pole thanks to a P10 starting spot on the grid. But experience will drop you at a split moment. And Jak Crawford saw it in a heartbeat at Jeddah. After earning his sprint race pole, the Houston native and RBR development driver saw things 1st hand how experience can get the best on rookie Formula 2 drivers. And despite a 9th place performance, Jak was 1 spot short towards earning his FIA Formula 2 point. And also finished P15in the feature for his weekend. Ayumu Iwasa was the Sprint race winner with Victor Martins and Jehan Daravula taking podium honors. Ralph Boschung and Kush Maini take top 5 finishes. With Crawford finishing inside in the top 10, Enzo Fittipaldi posts a P13. Miami's Juan Manuel Correa scores a P14 for his efforts and Manny's hometown roommate Brad Benavides ends his Saturday in P18. Barbados driver Zane Maloney watched his race end early in a spin unable to restart. In the feature, Frederik Vesti pushed to his limits earning the feature win with Jack Doohan and Daravula taking the podiums. Iwasa and Dennus Hauger complete the top 5. Enzo Fittipaldi end his weekend in 7th. Crawford finishes 15th with Maloney in 17th. Correa finishes 18th and Benavides in the bottom after his collision with Amaury Cordeel early in the race. After 2 rounds, Buschung leaves Jeddah with a 1-point lead over Theo Pourchaire (33-32). Iwasa moves to 3rd (31). Vesti and Daravula move up into the top 5. Maloney gets bumped out of the top 10 leaving Jeddah in P11. Fittipaldi drops to 13th. Correa is the only US driver with a point tied for 15th. Crawford and Benavides remain scoreless after 12 rounds as they head out Down Under for their inaugural event at Melbourne. www.fiaformula2.com

https://www.instagram.com/p/CqfVI6gv0ES It was a total up and down this past weekend Down Under at Melbourne for Formula 2 and Formula 3 drivers who are making their 1st visit their comfort zone. It was 3rd time the charm for Jak Crawford having a mixed weekend. The Houston native and Red Bull Development driver adding more than his points, but scoring his 1st ever FIA F2 podium with a 2nd place in the sprint race due to weather conditions. After qualifying 9th, Crawford Started 2nd behind Sprint race winner and Jak's RBR stalemate Dennis Hauger. Joining them in the podium was Campos Kush Maini. Arthur LeClerc and Barbados driver Zane Maloney round up the podium Miami drivers did not fared well when drizzle came falling. Juan Manuel Correa had a possible top 10 finish before spinning at the backstretch prompting him to a 14th place finish and Brad Benavides spun and the last corner before pit entry just as he was about to join the other drivers during a safety car in 19th. Enzo Fittipaldi was unable to start after spinning out along with Ralph Boschung on the formation lap. The feature saw Crawford's chances going really under after getting shoved by Jack Doohan on lap 7. Ayumu Iwasa took the win in their inaugural Feature event in Melbourne with Theo Pourchaire and Arthur Leclerc taking the podium spots. Frederik Vesti and Maloney rounded the top 5s. Correa took the final point scoring finish in 10th on a technicality due to a penalty to Roman Stanek passing during the 2nd safety car period. Benavides posted his best finish this season in 12th. Enzo Fittipaldi's Sunday ended in disaster when his back end gave out sending him into the wall and just (just barely) avoiding the car of Roy Nissany during that safety car period. After 3, Iwasa now takes the points lead over Pourchaire with, Vesti, Boschung and Leclerc in the top 5. Crawford now jumps to 15th after his 1st podium and points in the series. Correa remains the last driver with points in 17th while Benavides best finish of the season places him in 21st with the series heading to the streets of Baku. www.fiaformula2.com/

https://www.instagram.com/p/CqfZfMmvkSX It was also another up and down in the FIA F3 championship. But Potomac, MD native Kaylen Frederick managed to post a P10 due to a technicality from MP motorsport's car infringements that cause for the team to be excluded from the results that included the Sprint race winner Franco Colapinto. That resulted Zak O'Sullivan becoming the winner of the Sprint race. Red Bull development driver Sebastian Montoya and Paul Aron take the podium honors, with Gabriele Mini and Dino Beganovic taking the top 5. Virginia Beach, VA native Hunter Yeany posted a P22 after a penalty in qualifying. But it went down hill for Frederick when he collided with Nicolas Tsolov on lap 5 during a safety car period in the Feature. Gabriel Bortoleto was the winner of the Feature race with Gregoire Saucy finishing 2nd with Mini taking the last podium spot. Leonardo Fornaroli and O'Sullivan complete the top 5. Yeany finished P17 for his efforts. Montoya's day only lasted 1 lap after his brush with Christian Mansell causing a broken suspension. After 2 rounds, Bortoleto places a 20 point distance on Saucy (58-38). Beganovic remains in 3rd. Mini and Pepe Marti round the top 5. Frederick drops to 14th. Yeany is classified in 26th as the grid awaits Baku. Update: After his incident during the safety car, Frederick got handed a 10-spot grid penalty for the next round. www.fiaformula3.com/

The GB4 series came with a great start for our US contenders at Oulton Park this past weekend. The season started with Pembroke Hills, Fla. native Jeremy Fairbirn scoring his initial GB4 win in Race 1 who narrowly held Tom Mills for the opening win in the 1st race of the season with Cooper Webster taking the final podium spot ahead of Cota De Caza, Calif. native Colin Queen and Josh Ifran who finished in the the top 5 within 2 seconds of each other. Fairbairn made the better start from the outside of the front row to draw alongside Mills before sweeping around the outside at Old Hall into the lead. Mills made an early challenge on Fairbairn into Knickerbrook but had to back out, and he had close company behind from Webster, Fortec Motorsports’ Queen and Fox Motorsport’s Liam McNeilly. Queen survived a slight airborne moment after running wide at Druids to then attack Webster for third into Old Hall, with the pair continuing to go side-by-side until Webster used the inside line to hold onto the position into Cascades. Great River, NY native Jason Conzo posted a 12th place finish for his efforts for Oldfield Motorsport who recently signed right before the season opener. Race 2 was a was very flawed for our contenders during wet conditions with Jeremy Fairbirn got caught in the middle of a battle with Sid Smith who would end up in the barriers in the Old Hall curve. Queen was not fortunate on his early end in the race after losing control of his car on the Druids curve. Mills became the eventual winner of the race with McNeilly and Ifran taking the podium spots. Harri Reynolds and Harry Burgoyne Jr roundd up the top 5. Fairbirn posted a 6th. Conzo scores his 1st top 10 with a 9th place finish. Race 3 was a consolation for Queen who scored his 1st series podium with a 3rd place finish. And all after coming from the middle in P10. McNeilly came from P8 enroute to win the reverse-grid race with Reynolds and Queen taking podium honors. Ifran and Smith rounded the top 5. Fairbirn was unable to capitalize from his reverse-grid start ending his day in 12th. Conzo had his day end early in the 4th lap unable to stop his car at the Cascades curve. After 1, Mills end his weekend with a 7-point lead over McNeilly (81-74) with Ifran, Fairbirn, and Reynolds in top-5 positions. Queen ends his in P7, while Conzo remains on the bottom in 13th as the series take a 1-month break before returning to Silverstone in May. https://www.instagram.com/p/Cq3aKDXPTVO www.gb-4.net

It was not the results that he wanted. But being in the top 10 for now is good as he could get in the GB3 series at Oulton Park for Max Esterson - in mixed conditions. The New York Native and Team USA scholar managed to score 2 top 10 finishes with a 7th place finish in race 1 and a top 5 finish with a 4th. But was taken out early in the 3rd race. Same goes to Miami native David Morales in his 3rd outing in the British series. David managed to score a P8 in race 1 and P9 in race 3. But his race ended in race 2 after spinning during wet conditions. Joseph Loake took the opening-season win over his teammate Matthew Rees with Callum Voisin rounding up the final podium spot. James Hedley and Tymek Kucharczyk complete the top 5. Esterson scores P7 with Morales in P8. Richmond Hills, Ontario native Nico Christodoulou posts P11 finish. Gainsville, Ga. native Noah Ping scores a top 15 finish with a P12 for his efforts. Race 2 honors went to Hedley with an early end of the race after heavy rains forced to red-flag the 1st event of the double-header with Voisin and Loake capitalizing with podiums ahead of Esterson and Michale Shin. Cristodoulou post a P10 finish with Ping ending his race early after 3 laps. The reversed-grid in race 3 went to Daniel Mavlyutov. But the weather hampered the event once again in another early end. Ayato Iwasaki and Edward Pearson rounded the top podium. Shin and Jarrod Waberski complete the top 5. Ping scored his 1st top 10 finish with a P7 for his efforts with Morales in P9. Christodoulou was the last car running in P18. With 1 round over, Loake holds a 5-point lead over Hedley (76-71), with Voisin, Shin and Rees are in a 3-way battle for 3rd separated by 2 points (53-52-51). Esterson holds 8th in the standings. Morales ends his weekend in 12th. Christodoulou in P16 followed by Ping in 17th. The series will take a 1 month break before returning at Silverstone. www.gb-3.net

https://www.instagram.com/reel/CrWU31it5cZ You can get excited on that official 1st win as a roster driver, but emotions can get the best in you. It was the case with Ugo Ugochukwu in the FIA Italian Formula 4 season opener at Imola. Especially in the racing format in 3 group compete in which 36 drivers will enter the main race. The New York native and McLaren Development driver manages to score a major win in race 2 and a 3rd place podium in his efforts in the feature race. But had a nightmarish end before completing his race 3 lap when a damaged gear box on the start put a game over before even getting his car moving before the final nail was hammered when the BVM car of Andrea Frassineti struck his car at Parc Ferme. Kacper Szutka was the winner of race 1 followed by Brando Badoer (YUP! Luca's son) and Nicola LaCorte completing the race 1 podium. Akshay Bohra and Alfio Spina complete the top 5. Miami's James Egozi scores his maiden open-wheel points in P8. Ugochukwu 1st race in race 2 was an adjustment when he had a bad start letting teammate Arvid Lindblad and Sztuka go thru. But managed to pass both drivers before running away with the win. Lindblad and Zachary David complete the podium spots. Ivan Domingues and Spina round the top 5. Egozi scores another point finish with a P9. LaCorte was the race 3 winner in which Ugochukwu never got his start. Lindblad and Domingues score podium finishes with Badoer and James Wharton scoring top 5s. The 4th race was the feature is where Lindblad takes the feature win. the podium finishes of Spina and Ugochukwu were courtesy of a teammate conflict between Domingues and Badoer on the final lap. LaCorte and David round up the top 5. Egozi came up short for another point finish with a P11 for his efforts. After 1 round, Lindblad takes the series points lead over LaCorte (61-52) with Ugochukwu steady in 3rd (40). Spina and David round up the top 5. Egozi ends his weekend in 14th as the grid heads to Misano in 2-weeks time. www.f4championship.com/

The case for Enzo Scionti in the Formula Regional European series was not fortunate at Imola this past weekend. Unlike Euro Formula Open in 2021, the Houston native has met reality with a bigger grid with a P25 in race 1 and P15 in race 2. Martinius Stenshorne took the initial season opening win. Andrea Kimi Antonelli and Rafael Camara scoring podiums with Lorenzo Fluxa and Kas Haverport completing the top 5. Race 2 belonged to Haverkort with Stenshorne and Nikhil Bhora scoring podium finishes. Victor Bernier, and Mathias Zagazeta round up the top 5. Emmo Fittipaldi scored a P19 in race 1 and a P17 in race 2 for his efforts. After 1 round, Stenshorne takes the initial series lead with Havenkort, Antonelli, Bohra and Camara rounding the top 5. Scionti is classified on P22 and Fittipaldi in P25 as they move on to Barcelona for the event at the Circuit of Catalunya. formularegionaleubyalpine.com/

Saved by the flag!!!! This was a theme for our US hopefuls. And Jak Crawford is beginning to develop. The Houston native and Red Bull Racing development driver manages to double score this past weekend in the FIA Formula 2 series at Baku. Crawford's 3rd place podium in the sprinr race was courtesy of a red flag that was caused by Dennis Hauger, Victor Martins, and Jehan Daruvula who were racing for the lead only for the 3 cars who end up colliding at turn 1. Also benefiting for the early end of the race was Miami's Juan Manuel Correa who finished 6th. Crawford also scored the final point in the feature with a P10. Oliver Bearman becomes the 1st driver to sweep a weekend this season. Frederik Vesti joined Bearman and Crawford with his P2 finish in the sprint. Kush Maini and Enzo Fittipaldi rounded the top 5 in Saturday's race. Bearman was joined by Fittipaldi and Theo Pourchaire in the feature podium with Vesti and Maini rounding the top 5. Correa posted a P13 in his efforts in the feature. Miami's Brad Benavides scores his P10 in the sprint. But no points are given. The feature was not fortunate after finding the turn 4 wall. After 4. Pourchaire continues to lead the championship over Vesti with a 3-point margin (65-62) with a disappointed Ayumu Iwasa in 3rd. Bearman makes a huge jump into a tie for 4th with Maini. Crawford drops 1 spot to 16th with Correa in P17. Benavides is yet to score as the series take a break until the next round at Imola. www.fiaformula2.com

The Euro Formula Open Series is becoming way too easy for the current drivers. For my homeboy - Chicagoan Bryce Aron it is easy. And for 7 regulars. Aron scored top 5s in all 3 races. 1 5th in the 1st race and 2 P4s in the other 2. Enzo Trulli, Francesco Simonanzzi and Noel Leon were the eventual winners for those events. But the big winner was Tim Trammitz who scored 2 P2s and a P3 thus making him the series points leader. Leon, Trulli, Simonazzi and Aron are in the Top 5. The series are taking a 1-month break until memorial-day weekend at Spa. www.euroformulaopen.net

Kaylen, Jak, and Colton are the best storylines. Kaylen has a long way to go. Jak is developing very nicely. But Colton took the long way for him to reach Formula 1. Colton has to win the Indy Car championship to enter F1. Newgarden is the best prospect. But Penske $$$$$ are always in the way.

https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cr85Ml7P_Ik As much as he advanced in the Italian F4 Championship, he believes he has to improve because 1st place will be a mountain to climb for Ugo Ugochukwu. The New York native and McLaren Development driver just scored podiums in 2 of 3 races at Misano with a 6th in race 1 for his efforts. Tuukka Taponen held a huge charge from Red Bull Development driver Arvid Lindblad in the 1st race for the win by .4 seconds with James Wharton taking the final podium spot. Kacper Sztuka and Brando Badoer rounded the top 5 ahead of Ugochukwu. Miami native James Egozi posted a 13th for his efforts. The next 2 races belonged to Lindblad who was too much for Ugochukwu. Lindblad ran away with a 3.5 second margin over Wharton who would later pass Ugochukwu in the ladder stages of the race. Taponen and Ivan Domingues sealed the top 5. Egozi finished in P12. Ugochukwu had good chances to take the win. But Lindblad once again was a winner in another runaway with Zachary David finishing in 3rd. Szutka and Taponen complete the top 5. Egozi was 1 spot short in 11th. We like to wish Tina Hausmann who suffered a roll-over in race 1 that left her with a sprained shoulder. After 2 rounds - It is Lindblad taking a 48-point climb over Ugochukwu who jumps to 2nd (129-81). Nicola LaCorte takes a 21 point tumble to 3rd. David and Taponen round up the top 5. Egozi drops to 15th. The series will be on a 3 month break when they return for the next event at Spa during the Memorial Day weekend. f4championship.com/https://www.instagram.com/p/CryLqluNaaO We also congratulate Egozi who officially graduates from the Kart scene after winning the 2023 WSK Title in Super Masters Category at Cremona, Italy.

The GB-3 championship will always have breakthroughs for driver in their early careers. And Noah Ping made benefits for it. The Atlanta native, managed to score a reverse-grid win in race 3 at Silverstone that also featured his teammate - Richmond Hills, Ontario native Nico Christodoulou taking 2nd in the same race. Joseph Loake won the first 2 races this past weekend. Loake's wins were inherited on a technicality due to penalties to John Bennett who passed Loake off track in race 1 and a collision with Alex Dunne in race 2. Matthew Rees would have won a race until he got hit with a 10-second penalty in race 2 for jumping the start. Race 1 official results: Loake with the win followed by Bennett and Rees completing the podium with Dunne and McKenzy Cresswell rounding the top 5. Miami's David Morales was the top US driver in P11 after losing a Top 10 finish due to off-track pass in race 1 followed by Ping and New York native Max Esterson in 13th. Christodoulou's 1st race ended 2 laps before the finish after he got tagged by Souta Arao. The Race 2 results were Loake, Cresswell, and Callum Voisin taking podium finishes, with a demoted Bennett and Jarrod Waberski taking the top 5 results. Esterson posted a P8 finish while Ping repeated his same place finish with a 12th. Christodoulou posted a P15. Morales was collected by Arao ending his race. Race 3 results were Ping, Christodoulou, were joined by Arthur Rogeon in the race 3 podium. Voisin and Cresswell rounded the top 5. Morales collected too much grass that resulted overheating problems. Esterson lost the front wing who finished 1 lap down. After 2 events, Loake extends his lead over Voisin (146-115). James Hedley, Rees and Tymek Kucharczyk round up the top 5. Ping jumps into the standings after his win in 12th. Esterson drops to 13th with Christodoulou moving 2 spots to 14th. Morales drops to 17th as they take a 1-month break before returning to competition at Spa. www.gb-3.net

The 1st win is still elusive in his new series for Colin Queen. But the improvements are there. The Coto De Caza, Calif. native manages to score his 2nd series podium with a 2nd place in race 2 and moving 6 places to a P4 finish in race 3 at Silverstone this past weekend. Apparently, race 1 was cancelled due to severe rain that BRDC officials found in unsafe to race. We also congratulate Jeremy Fairbairn for his efforts in his events. Now residing in West Palm Beach, Florida, Fairbairn scores a P5 in race 2 and a P9 in Race 3. Tom Mills went flag-to-flag to take his race 2 win with Queen and Cooper Webster taking podium honors. Harri Reynolds and Fairbairn rounded the top 5. Great River, NY native Jason Conzo finished in 10th. Reynolds took full honors in race 3 with Ruhaan Alva and Mills with podium finishes. Queen and Liam McNeilly posted top 5 finishes. Conzo manages a P8 ahead of Fairbairn. With 2 rounds concluded, Mills increases his lead to 37 points over McNeilly as he holds Reynolds in 3rd by 2 points. Queen and Fairbairn remain in the top 5. Conzo moves 1 position to 12th as the series heads to Donington Park during Memorial Day Weekend. www.gb-4.net

https://www.instagram.com/p/CszSy7KtLJ_ A series is getting too easy that 1 day I would love to see Michael Andretti take over. The Euro Formula series would be perfect. And Bryce Aron would love to see it just as he saw himself 2 times in the podium. The Chicago native (Homeboy) has joined fellow US drivers Cameron Das and Jak Crawford to win a Euro Formula Open series race. Aron had to hold a charging Noel Leon to take his 1st in at Spa Francochamps this Memorial Day Weekend in Race 2 along with a 3rd place podium in Race 1. But struggled into race 3 thus ending his weekend with a 5th place finish. Mexican Noel Leon took the honors in Race 1 with Ciam Shields and Aron completing the podium. Series returnee Josh Mason and Francesco Simonazzi rounded the top 5. Aron as expected had to fend-off Leon late charge for his maiden win. Simonazzi completes the final podium spot. Shields and Mason rounded the top 5. Shields took a red-flagged marred race win with Simonazzi and Leon taking podium honors. Mason and Aron rounded the top 5. Leon takes a huge 22-point command over Simonazzi. With the absence of Tim Trammitz and Enzo Trulli, Aron jumps to 3rd with Shields and Trammitz securing their top 5 in the standings as the series moves to the Hungaroring in 2-weeks time. www.euroformulaopen.net/en/

https://www.instagram.com/p/Cs0kkJmLYMR Also in Spa, looks like Zak Brown made a good selection with Ugo Ugochukwu who is making that mountain climb into the standings. the New York native and McLaren development driver managed to runaway and hold a Zachary David charge to earn his 2nd Italian Formula 4 series win at Spa. Ugochukwu's jump in the the battle for the lead was courtesy in Race 3 when series points leader Arvid Lindblad went off at Les Combes along with Kacper Sztuka who also dropped to the back. Ugo Chukwu passed David on lap 4 never looking back for the win. James Wharton won the 1st 2 races that were red flagged. Race 1 was a total bummer for Ugo when the red flag denied him a podium finish thus finishing 4th behind David and Brando Badoer. Lindblad would take 5th for his efforts. Miami native James Egozi finished 14. Race 2 results were Wharton holding a Sztuka late charge and Lindblad who stood in the podium. Akshay Bohra and Raphael Narac scored top 5 positions. Ugochukwu finished a disappointing 7th. Egozi only managed a 13th. Race 3 was Ugochukwu, David, and Wharton standing in the podium. Badoer and Marcus Ferreira round up the top 5. Egozi gets points with a 9th. After 3 rounds, Lindblad continues to hold the lead only to have Ugochukwu in his mirrors for 2nd (146-121) dropping David in 3rd. Wharton and Brando climb to the top 5. Egozi drops to 16th as the series rolls back to Italy into sacred ground - Monza. www.f4championship.com/

A trifecta was very sweet for Colin Queen in the GB4 championship. But his trifecta was also a double whammy for races 1 and 4 in which the Cota De Caza, California native had to endure at Donington Park. A possible climb in the standings went sour in race 1 after a runner-up finish in race 1 was taken away when track officials confirmed that Queen exceeded track limits, thus handing Colin a 5-second penalty. But kept him on the podium in 3rd. West Palm Beach, Florida native Jeremy Fairbairn also had a great day with 2 P4s, P5 and a P6 in this 4 race event. Tom Mills scored 3 straight wins this weekend with Liam McNeilly taking the reverse-grid win in race 4. Race 1 results: 1. Mills 2. Cooper Webster 3. Queen 4. Fairbairn 5. Sid Smith Race 2: 1. Mills 2. Webster 3. Queen 4. McNeilly 5. Fairbairn Race 3: 1. Mills 2. Webster 3. Queen 4. Fairbairn 5. Ruhaan Alva Race 4: 1. McNeilly 2. Webster 3. Adiyta Kulkarni 4. Mills 5. Harry Burgoyne Fairbairn posted with a P6 while Queen was left in P13 after stalling at the start -1. With 3 rounds in the books, Mills continues to extend his lead to 78 points over Webster and McNeilly (266-188-188) US drivers Queen and Fairbairn are solidly in the top 5. Great River, NY native Jason Conzo did not participate. Currently on a part-time basis. The series will shift to Snetterton in mid-June. www.gb-4.net

https://www.instagram.com/p/CszEdLJLI3j It was a long time coming for a US driver to stand in a Monaco podium. But for the Houston native and Red Bull Racing Development driver: It became a reality after taking a 3rd place finish in the FIA Formula 2 Sprint race behind Red Bull stable-mate Ayumi Iwasa and Jehan Daravula. Crawford's Sprint podium was courtesy of Isaac Hadjar's retirement. Richard Verschoor and Zane Maloney take top 5 finishes. Enzo Fittipaldi finished in P10. Miami driver Brad Benavides took a P11 right after fellow Miami driver Juan Manuel Correa gets hit with a 10-second penalty after sending Amaury Cordeel into the Mirabeau thus ending his sprint race in P16. The feature belonged to Frederik Vesti taking a 2.5 second win over Theo Pourchaire with Barbados with Maloney taking the final podium spot. Kush Maini and Roma Stanek post top 5 finishes. Crawford takes 2 more points for his P9 effort. Correa's down-n-out weekend ends with a P14. Benavides ends his Monaco weekend in P16. Fittipaldi's weekend smoked out after losing his engine. After 5 rounds, Vesti holds a 5-point lead over Pourchaire (89-84-) with Iwasa steady in 3rd. Maini and Dannis Hauger complete the top 5. Fittipaldi drops to 12th. Crawford moves 2 spots to 14th. Correa tumbles to 18th with Benavides as a trailer with no scores. Next up - Barcelona. www.fiaformula2.com
