Didn't Vettel and ALOT of others also keep hitting a hole they made at the end of one of the allowed run off areas which is where he gave the final blow to his suspension? Yes and no. For the hell of it I just re-watched that part of the race from the start until Vettel stopped. His problems began on the first lap, first corner and he was passed by 4 cars on the first lap because his handling was so bad. He was on the radio right away reporting something was wrong and that he had massive understeer. It was something like 10 laps later that the rear finally collapsed coming out of turn 10.

Well, not a hole iirc so much as a big bump outside the lines between 9 and 10. People said "Well, he shouldn't have been out there then". What they don't realize is that the only reason they were going out there is because race control had told them it was ok, because of the even bigger bump inside the lines. It's still, there btw, despite the resurfacing.

Yep. I love that Adam Cooper is telling it like it is re: the unsupervised and improper partial track resurfacing that was performed earlier.

Is the UK-US travel ban not being lifted? I see Brits complaining on twitter that they won't be allowed to go to the USGP, and COTA won't respond to their requests for refunds. Knowing COTA, I wish them the best of luck with that. They're going to need it.

I think tourism travel is still a problem until Nov. 8 for those wishing to come in.

I think tourism travel is still a problem until Nov. 8 for those wishing to come in. Yeah, looks that way. They're basically saying there's zero chance they can come over.

New temporary T9 bridge going in. Some complaints on their Facebook page from T9 grandstand ticket holders, who are afraid it will obstruct their view of T10 and T11. They're probably right, and the view from that GS is just awesome. Most underrated, under the radar GS at COTA ... but the racing fans are lowest on the totem pole at COTA. The concert crowd is more important to Bobby.

So they put a bridge in there and refuse to put an entrance along the back stretch and make everyone walk from lot F to the main entrance and then all the way back to T12..... Assholes........

^^ If you legally get espn thru a cable tv provider, you can log on the espn site on line and watch it all live. I do that every race weekend.

Get ready to see lots of spots like this all over COTA next weekend for F1. Here they're grinding the nasty bump entering Turn 14. Photo courtesy of my man at the track.
