Real Track Limits must be respected. Painted lines are laughed at. Unfortunately "real track limits" leads to parades like most of the "walled" and thru the cities tracks, I'm not worried about "real track limits" I'm worried that at each track the rules are different. Pick one...on the red is okay but off them is bad or 4 wheels over the white line is bad anything else is okay. If there is a limit - the 1st line is the limit - not the last line. A wall is defined by its first line of contact, not the back side.

Because a driver has the speed and ability to pass a car on the outside, doesn't justify being forced off the track by the one inside. In some cases, but certainly not all, there are corners taken at speed that necessarily carry the car to the outermost verge, and attempting a pass there is not justifiable. But in the case in Austria, Perez could have and should have ceded a car width's space - - both times!
We've seen this behavior in the past with him and a couple others as well. I'm sure that all the drivers know Perez' propensity to force an opponent off when he could have left room.
If drivers respect each other enough to give space when it is possible, some of those 'silly penalties' can be avoided.

Painted line track limits are such a silly condition.

There are two turning lanes to the left. There are painted lines indicating where the turning lanes are. Two cars are side-to-side prepared to turn left.
YET,
The car on the outside turning lane (on the right), crosses over during the left turn into the left-most turning lane forcing the car in that lane to STOMP on the brakes to avoid sideswiping or hitting the rear quarter-panel of the right-most car.
What is this?
This happened to me yesterday on a real street, in a real town in the USA.

A f**king idiot driver. A more and more common occurrence. And that is why I have a dashcam in my car now.

there's a whole series of dash cam videos in Russia on you tube. Prolly the worst drivers and many are drunk. It seems that most everyone in Russia has a dash cam.

It seems that most everyone in Russia has a dash cam. They have to as many Russian plates are counterfeits, and they have only had to have compulsory car insurance since 2003, so many still do not.
