^Most of us remember when they would actually LEAVE the sport before they came back, I guess this way is more efficient. Guess Honda remembers that it took them years to catch back up to the technology when they came back the last time.

Maybe they are finally learning from their pass missteps.

I think it is more like Honda realized that if they didn't stay involved with this engine RedBull was going to sell the naming rights to someone else (cough, cough, TAG-Heuer or Porsche) next year. Good on Honda for thinking it through.

Good on Honda for thinking it through. The more i think about it the more i wonder just how much money and brain power Honda figured it was saving by supplying the Bulls with parts and tech support to continue with a frozen spec. Now they can bow back in gracefully and stay with a top team instead of crawling back in on their bellies after VAG scarfs up all of the warm bodies.

Yes, it made zero sense to leave when they just powered the WDC and the PU spec is frozen. The money to stay was chicken feed in the big picture of Honda Corporation. And think of the embarrassment if RedBull keeps winning and sold the naming right to someone else.

And they absolutely love Max almost to the same level as Senna.

I wonder if the bean counters in Japan have figured out how many Yen ronzo cost honda with his size zero concept / demands. It wasn't till they went to toro rosso that things started to click.

Honda wants there logo on the car. Red Bull thinks they can just run the engines Wouldn't that be just peachy if Honda pulled the pu at the last minute because RB won't budge...good grief without Honda RB does not have a WDC winning driver in 2021!!

so it's F1 reader. The ded cows and Porsche are set to make an announcement soon. And, it's on the internet. A cargo ship full of Porsche's and Volkswagens is abandoned, on fire, and drifting in the atlantic ocean. Does porsche use the cargo ship fiasco to bail out on F1? :-)

There are only 1100 Porsches on that ship. That is only few days worth of production. Insurance will cover then loss.
A similar thing happened a few years ago but for some reason that burning ship didn't make the news while this one did.
