Tim, you got some 'splainin' to do. Really, this wasn't a mistake. New garden and McLaughlin used it on restarts when they KNEW it shouldn't have worked. What were they thinking? Minor point: Did Power know? This is not an apology for the Penske actions. What is the matter with the software that allows the pushed button to be active, when it is SUPPOSED to be inactive. How was the software 'glitch' only effective on Penske cars and not all the other Chevrolet cars? Likewise in F1 - are drivers supposed to KNOW they are within a second of the car ahead so they can activate DRS? You know damn well, when they can SEE a car ahead they are pushing the button, if it does initiate DRS WHOOPEE! if it doesn't they keep on keeping on. At one point lewis had a tone play when it could be activated

At one point lewis had a tone play when it could be activated Was the tone for when he was within a second of the car ahead - OR when someone was within a second of overtaking him. Knowing, for sure, that an overtaker has DRS can greatly affect the line(s) you want to drive to thwart the overtaking.

Gonna take a serious silver tongue to convince me that only St Pete this year was involved.

It was a temporary software change that was made for the test sessions, probably as a matter of convenience. It was supossed to be returned to the origional configuration after the test, (by the teams? I'm not sure). But this is just wild. If you're Tim Cindric (I doubt Roger knew about this), the most respected race engineer/strategist/manager in Indycar today, and you're cought deliberatly cheating? I'll never look at him the same way again.

I’ve always thought he wasn’t the “good guy” he portrays, so I have my doubts about what he says. I’m sure he was brushing up his acting skills earlier this week. All I have to say is: “welcome to Indycar Josef.”

So breaking news. Indycar says that somebody, unamed, wanted put Trump/RFK Jr promotion on a car for the I500. They were turned down, and Indycar states that no political promotion of any kind wil be allowed on any car, period. How unusually sensible of them.

I have no affiliation with politicians, so I applaud this. I don’t care the politics, keep them out of sports. I want my sports to be an escape from the bs of everyday life.

All I have to say is: “welcome to Indycar Josef.” So Josef and what's his name didn't know the rules. But Power did? Whats he been doing all these years. Did he keep pressing the button at the start of the races until it started to work?

IMO this looks very bad for Roger himself. I think some suspensions or even a few people getting fired outside of the penalty’s being handed down would save some face for Roger.
