We are back to Ring! I think I attended the last race here in person!

I've said this before but I got started watching F1 because in 1990 I was doing a post doc in Stuttgart and went to a WSC race at the 'Ring. Michael won the F3 (?) undercard race and then kicked ass as the number 2 driver in the number 2 Merc (which was a dominant car). It was clear he was uber talented. So I started following his career. Was sitting at the Ford Kurve. That place is special to me for that reason! Plus now I have yet another excuse to drink dunkelweissen over the next two weeks!

I haven't forgotten seeing your pic young lady. I saw him race for Merc (WSC, not F1) in 1990, but he raced there for Merc (F1) as recently as 2011. I am not as young as Sabrina so I drove myself :-) |
