A few sites are reporting Carlos Sainz will be named Ferrari driver by weeks end. Yep. Brundle thinks it's Sainz to Ferrari, RIC to McLaren, and Alonso or Vettel to Renault. This article & these comments kinda went under the radar. It came out yesterday before the Vettel exit talk, with Alonso talking about Sainz's bright F1 future. I thought at the time that that last line was especially interesting... What is "it"? www.crash.net/f1/news/938117/1/alonso-backs-sainz-have-great-future-f1Given this comment, the Sainz to Ferrari rumors, and the way Alonso reacted in the video when asked about what he'll be doing in 2021 ... Sainz to Ferrari, Alonso to McLaren, imho. But who knows ...

Maybe Vettel winds in the retirement home, aka Alfa Romeo, with Kimi.😜

I could see seb wanting what he would never get, a multi year contract as the number 1 driver. Ferrari was stringing him along with the single years until they could align his contract with whatever new deal they wanted to give Leclerc. Where ever he ends up i think he'll be hard pressed to get that multi year no 1 deal.

Sainz to Ferrari? What a fucked-up pairing of two of the biggest assholes in F1!

It's going to depend on the deal the team already has with their existing drivers, wewillsee.

I was hoping for Giovinazzi to Ferrari but perhaps those two together are too inexperienced.

I would love to see Hamilton cement his legacy at Ferrari.😈🔥 He's trying to beat Michael Schumacher his best chance of doing that is with Mercedes. Now if Mercedes has a horrible year and next years prospects look bad as well then yes maybe.

I bet fingerboy hangs up his helmet. I thought that at first also, but now I am thinking he has another deal in place.

I agree, but I am not sure that is what is he is thinking. It appears Vettel has forced this breakup to happen now. To me that seems to indicate he has another place to go, not retiring.

I'm pretty sure Merc is keeping lulu for as long as he wants to drive and I can't see Vettel in the second seat. Same with Red Bull where max still has a few years left on his deal. Ocon is signed through 2021 at Renault and if he has a equal drivers status clause it would be impossible for Vettel to get top billing. McLaren looks to be his best bet unless Ricci makes the jump over there.
