if they happen! So previously on our soap opera, Bottas won the season opener, which was a bad sign while LeClerc showed speed, but Ferrari managed to blow everything anyway. I think Red Bull won some races and Lewis Hamilton won another championship in a manner that put us all to sleep. We still have Kimi! Maybe Red Bull will be better with Honda. I think there are two Canadians on the grid. Oh wait Merc has that dumb ass trick steering wheel, which will hopefully bite them in the ass, but will probably make for another boring season! Let's go until they decide to cancel the race! Discuss!

I hope the new Merc 'trick' fails miserably, as Kimi losing the whole front end' miserably and they end up driving with a POS until they canredesign the whole thing!! NO car maker will EVER put that shit on a passenger car so F1 Tech leading to passenger cars is a flat out lie, for this shit anyway!!

NO car maker will EVER put that shit on a passenger car so F1 Tech leading to passenger cars is a flat out lie, for this shit anyway!! I've had a dream about this and here's how it goes.
The Mercs qualified 1 and 3 so they are lined up behind each other. The start lights go out and they bolt away. When they get to turn 1, they both stomp on the brakes and suddenly their front wheels go pointing off in different directions. Bottas rams into LuLu and they both end up in one smoking pile of carbon fiber in the tire barriers.
They narrowly escape before their cars are reduced to embers and it takes several months for Mercedes to re-design and build a car that FIA deems safe to race. Mercedes drops out of F1, LuLu becomes a rapper (so I'll never hear from him again) and Bottas retires to make babies with his swim-racer wife.
Oh well, a guy can dream.

I don't dislike that dream!! And I'm sure Red Bull and all the mid pack Teams would LOVE it too!

ESPN has already made some changes to the announced times and program names for the pre race start broadcasting for Australia. Thread has been updated but it's still possible it could change again.
All live on track times are the same, it's just the additional stuff that's been modified.

Bottas got divorced last season. Did you skip over the part where I said it was a dream?

After touring sites and reading all the "woe" that has befallen Ferrari this year.... the curious "dark" settlement with the FIA about last year's engine.... the fact they're down on power this year - way down.... the possibility that Mercedes will not only RUN AWAY with the title this year but have it wrapped up by mid-summer....
I really do hope the season never gets of the ground because of COVID-19.
What?
I am petty like that.

So, at least for now, there isn't any ban on travel from Italy to Australia. Let's hope it stays that way.

I wonder how much it would take for some backmarker to take out a Merc or two as they make their way thru them? Where is Maldonado? BTW what is the money per point breakdown now? I know under Bernie is was around 1 million per point.

The back of the midfielders, Haas, Williams and whoever else sucks this weekend, could rock/paper/scissors after Q each week to determine who the hit team is for the week ... that'd give ole Guenther some fresh material each week ...

The back of the midfielders, Haas, Williams and whoever else sucks this weekend, could rock/paper/scissors after Q each week to determine who the hit team is for the week ... that'd give ole Guenther some fresh material each week ... I'm not saying anyone WOULD actually do it I'm just thinking out loud about how to improve this seasons prospects for the other Teams. If for instance when Bernie was in charge of F1 and a point was worth a million dollars then getting Team A to take out a Merc would be worth at least half that if your Team got one or more points in return. Getting Team B to take out the other Merc would be worth at least that much again because your expected haul of points would be even better. The downside would be if your Team took out it's own drivers, ala Ferrari last season, when you pay to take out the Merc and get zero points in return!! But Team A in my example would have extra cash on hand to do anything they want too to improve their car or even pay for a better person. Now if the paying Team got caught they could probably expect some serious repurcussions from both the FIA and the other Team who either didn't paid or feel that it was the wrong way to move up.

OK, here we go.... Merc;...well there's always next year for everyone else. Ferrari; signs of brilliance balanced by total incompetence for that fresh scent of crushed dreams Red Bull; still a twitchy, spooked horse of a car but still enough for max to show how worthless Bottas really is. And now the mid field. Forced Nepotism, aka Baby Benz, aka (the future) Aston Martin Racing, aka keeping lance off the streets (i'm not gonna even waste time calling them you know what); should be strong early but will need periodic trips to the dealership whenever the silver starts showing though from under the pink paint, hope they sprung for the extended warranty. McLaren; First year in a while without an official whipping boy with actual genuine expectations, still waiting for an unwanted Ronzo intervention. Renault; should have a reliable. fast car so will have to look to the organization for this years big let down, smiling Dan is STILL keeping his things in a storage unit, (just in case). Alpha whatever; this years mid field ankle biters, the Evil One should start stirring the driver line up pot just before mid season, slap fights imminent. the REAL Alfa; Kimi will do just enough to keep us entertained whilst giving zero fucks, Gio will be hearing Schumy Jr sounding footsteps all year in between checking the ice man's sell by date. Team will continue to hope trickle down Ferrari tech didn't come with the included karma package. Haas; will continue to be the muse for Stieners best material, RoGro will be checking his own sell by date as the Hulk sounding footsteps interrupt his sleep patterns. Williams; will continue to marvel at how many fewer times this years version of last years car gets lapped, Sirotkin will tire of being mistakenly called Lance by third race.
