Close, but not the best answer. Young people are not truly "safe", if exposed, until their immune system has defeated the virus, and they are no longer a vector capable of spreading it to vulnerable people such as their parents or grandparents. Correct, but again my statement that those under 50 are right now in little risk remains true.

Correct, but again my statement that those under 50 are right now in little risk remains true. The risk appears to be quite low for anyone under 60. I don't know if we know the true scope of this. I am in the little risk range but my parents are not so I have to lecture them right now like they did to me when I was a little kid. The good thing is they are still at home and not in a nursing home and still have their wits together. That makes me feel better that they will get through this.

Probably home to move their familes to a safe place. And I'm guessing they left knowing their Teams were going to get the race cancelled. My point was "where is safe"? I would guess somewhere they THINK is better than someplace else, just like the rest of us and will then adjust that based on the latest info they have. Where would you take your family? Where would i take mine? Where woudl any of us take the ones we cherish the most? I'm guessing the answer is different for each of us but based on the best intel we can get at the time. Is it a beach with no people the best place...not if you run out of stuff. How about a hotel...again maybe not if someone gets sick and the place has a common air handling system. How about your home...again if someone gets sick it's a good chance everyone will. Lots of choices to make but each of us has a different idea of where 'safe' is. My family and I are staying home and avoiding big crowds but I went to the grocoery and UPS store this morning to send some TP to one of my wifes cousins who can't get to the store because her mom is in the hospital and she is by her side. Believe it or not Amazon has NO TP available for shipping, I did send her some wipes that will be there tomorrow though.

What is the going UPS rate on TP? $23 for an 11" by 14" box from the East Coast to just past the Mississippi River that goes up the middle of the US, Kansas, that's for truck delivery all the way. By air overnight it was $124 which I did NOT choose.

Pick that nit. How come only you ever have the 'best answers'? No nit has been picked and that is why it needs to be stated. The very essence of vaccination for herd immunity, social distancing, and hand washing is so the most vulnerable are not exposed. There is very little reason to close schools and colleges except to prevent the spread -- flatten the curve!

The very essence of vaccination for herd immunity, social distancing, and hand washing is so the most vulnerable are not exposed. There is very little reason to close schools and colleges except to prevent the spread -- flatten the curve! Maybe. Doesn't change the fact that Carlo's statement, "If you are under 50 and in good health everywhere is "safe". ", is true. It is only when you introduced the safety of others, in addition to those he noted, that you felt that 'it needs to be stated'.
I think you just like to see your thoughts in type and have a strange desire to bloviate needlessly.

At least they are giving refunds for the Australia event, IndyCar is only giving credit for the lost event at St.Petersburg.

Anyone know if the Dutch GP is cancelled yet or is it still on? I may be able to go but would hate to buy tickets and find out it's rescheduled as I have a free room in Lisse

Yeah I'm thinking that too, but it would be cool My wifes trip to Ligge in the Netherlands to take pictures of the tulips has been cancelled so my free room is gone and I'm not going to the race.
