I'm in lovely D.C. for this B.C. holiday, but my understanding is that real F1 testing starts on Wednesday. I saw Williams and Haas did some filming/shakedown runs today.
Discuss everything related to the pre-season F1 testing here!
Go Ferrari, Alfa and Haas!

Can you get tickets to the testing or is it free?
Also is it on a schedule every year some place?
I was thinking it might be fun to go one time but it's a long trip from the US.
Sabrina have fun in DC if you go downtown to the bars you're likely to see some of the people you see on TV relaxing after work. Most will acknowldge you if you know their name but don't like giving you info you don't already have. The line 'I know you from someplace but can't remember where' doesn't work.

Should we start a pool on which team gets towed back first? Or do we have to disqualify Grosjean from the first one into the kitty litter grab bag before that starts?

I think Max will not make one full lap before he has problems, he may be able to get back into the pits but not under full power.

I think Will Confirm at Mercedes will be the first to go off.

I'm surprised the whole field doesn't look like the Mercedes.

So, no mechanical failures today... a few offs, but no crashes, good start.

RP taking the Haas route, running last year's Mercedes. Not a good sign for the future of F1, imho.

Can't remember what they cost, but last time I checked, even with Paddock Access they were cheaper than or about the same as, say, a 3-day GA ticket for the USGP. Been wanting to go for a long time. About to retire, so maybe I will soon.

Saw the last part of an interview with Guenther Steiner, he was at the lunch tables area, and he was talking about it and if they need to lodge a protest or not, said their high res pictures would show if Racing Point are copying Mercedes or colluding with them. He talked about Hass copying Ferrari last year and said 'why not they were better than we were'.

Someone thinks up 'something' - if it works, everybody copies it.

To me the McLaren and Renault are also looking a bit Mercedes-ish.
