Bringing Hamilton to Ferrari as a teammate to Leclerc would be a huge mistake. There literally is no value and a lot of problems. Neither driver has shown any inclination to share the number one status. Leclerc is the future and they need to support him. If Vettel cannot figure out how to be a number two, then they need to find a good young driver to compete with Leclerc without causing any more stupid crashes. I think the best scenario is for Vettel to accept that Leclerc is the number one driver. This means accepting that Leclerc is aggressive making passes and selfish such as he was at Monza by not making a sincere effort to help Vettel with the tow at the end of Q3. This type of relationship worked with Kimi (remember Monaco in 2017), so now it is time for Vettel to swallow his pride and assume that role as a friend, mentor, and support driver to Leclerc.

To hell with that! Vettel should leave Le Jerk on his own with another 'academy' punk!

Christian Horner said the 32-year-old Yamamoto did not fit the criteria despite a good performance. All the teams are dead set on hiring 18 yr. old 'Driver Academy' punks!

If Vettel can learn to handle things like Bottas and Hamilton do then I think he'd be a good person to keep, he can be very fast at times just not all the time any more.

I don't think that is a possibility given Vettel's psychological makeup. He's a number one driver. Just ask him, he'll tell you

Vettel was the best in a car from a different era. the exhaust blown diffuser era. especially Newey's version of it. the rear of those cars were extremely well planted. his cars were pretty much always 10 mph slower on the straights. but always much faster in the corners. the slower the corner, the faster vettel could push it. as driving that car was counter intuitive. if you backed off more than normal in those corners, because of the exhaust blown diffuser, your car would go faster. will he ever win the title again? to me it depends if someone can give him a car he likes. As he apparently still needs a well planted rear to get the most out of his car. something he didn't have for the 1st half of 2019.

he (Vettel) can be very fast at times just not all the time any more. Especially not when his car fails him or when Le Clair takes him out! I do not like LeClerc. Not at all! You somehow got my name on mikey's quote.

I think LeClerc was still thinking he could keep the position, or retake it depending on which car you are in, while Vettel thought it was his and he was moving over to consoloditate it when they met in the middle. And that was my point about Bottas and Hamilton...they know when the Team position is worth more than their own fight for the position on this lap. Both Bottas and Hamilton will back off for a bit then come back at the other one again when they think they have an advantage. Vettel and LeClerc haven't demonstrated that cohesiveness as teammates yet, ie I respect that you are faster right now but give me a few corners or a lap to regroup and your ass is mine!!

Sniff sniff.............Honda money involved?
Kinda takes a lot of the spice out of silly season speculation.

Don't put away the popcorn yet because there's no way Max signed a contract that wasn't stacked with performance clauses. I really don't think he's that motivated by money right now.
