Alonso's future is sure going to be interesting...

Kinda been wondering if this might be coming. That bit at the end is pretty interesting though. Did I miss something?

When only three teams have any chance of success it makes complete sense.
Sometimes I wonder why the other six teams (plus Haas) bother showing up. It's gotta suck being totally irrelevant.
But, isn't irrelevance what F1 is all about?

Alonso's future is sure going to be interesting... Heh ... that story got me to thinking about how steep those dune are. How much can they see when they're climbing those things? I'm sure the truck pitches back a bit, maybe enough to where you're seeing nothing but the sky much of the time. Guess you have to look out the sides a bit more when climbing those monsters. Re: Alonso's future being interesting, I think so, but what makes you think so? Just curious about your take...

There have been rumors that in-race refueling was being considered but this is the first time I have heard it phrased as a done deal. Like all the other 2021 rule stuff I guess we will see...

Yeah that's pretty much where I was, until I read that. Interesting that he said that.

Re: Alonso's future being interesting, I think so, but what makes you think so? Just curious about your take... His relationship with Zak Brown. Gives him more opportunities than just a return to F1. Gotta think Fred wants his face on the Borg Warner...

Only F1 can say they are going to 'save money' by requiring the teams to 'reinvent the wheel' for $40 or $50M every year.

Are these people INSANE!? And how the Hell would this absurd scheme "save money" by negating all the R&D money already spent? I fail to understand their thinking!

If Renault wants Ocon, they will sign him and wish Hulk well. No team is going to wait until their outgoing driver finds another ride before signing the guy they really want. That is crazy.

Just to revive the debate; Alonso was a great driver but a shitty employee and teammate. Now that he is older and there are some young guns looking good I just don't see any team he would consider worthy bringing him in. As much as it pains me to agree with Carlo, if RB had a desire to partner Fred with Max they would have done so already. And if Ferrari had a desire to pair Fred with Seb, they would have done so already. Clearly Hamilton and Fred wouldn't work so that's off the table. I doubt he will ever drive an F1 car in anger again.
