Alonso is becoming quite the cherry picker. Yeah, and I know they will want to put an asterisk on this win. But he didn't inherit squat in terms of track position.
Except for the last time when the 31 ran wide into Turn 1, he made the passes on his own in horrendous conditions. Kobash was awesome as well.

I would expect ISC might look into a drainage system for the future. After all, they have that big ole lake (Lloyd) to drain into.

Alonso is becoming quite the cherry picker. Another classic Alonso win.Get him a top 5 car and he will manage to flip the track upside-down on his favor. Engines will explode, drivers will run wide or crash or it will rain. Anything possible to make it look as it was gifted to him. F1 or not.

I wonder how Denny Swift would have handled the conditions today. 😜

You needed to go fishing and dig that out from 12 years ago LOL Is there a driver who has never spun in the rain ever? Anyway. Looking forward to watch Alonso in the many different racing series he will compete this year...

Looking forward to watch Alonso in the many different racing series he will compete this year... I had to go 12 years back because that was the last time Alonso was relevant. It was more than just a "spin in the rain". It was a solo crash that cost him the WDC. As we saw then and in 2010 and 2012 Alonso under pressure is no better than anyone else.

Fred is doing a fine job of establishing himself as a top notch all-around driver along the lines of Andretti, Foyt, Hill, etc. It's almost impossible to win in F1 without a dominant car (which is nothing new, by the way) but he's showing he can excel in just about anything. I'd really like to see him add an Indy 500 win to the list.

Me too. had his engine not failed him last year I thought he had a real shot at the win.
