https://www.instagram.com/p/CzLZpXsLkrk Signing day for free-ride scholarships is a huge tradition for High School athletes. But Prema just needed 1 hat in front for Ugo Ugochukwu to keep him around. The New York native, McLaren Development driver, 2023 runner-up in the Italian Formula 4 series and inaugural Euro 4 series champion will be kept around the team where he will compete in the Formula Regional European series sponsored by Alpine. After post-season test in an F3 car, Ugo will need total extensive training in order to compete in the FIA Formula 3 series in the future. The Regional will be his next step. formularegionaleubyalpine.com/prema-racing-announces-ugochukwu-for-2024-freca-programme/

https://www.instagram.com/reel/C0KD3R0tjpf There are times that Sophomore chapters do not end well (Just like Scott in 2007 after the Nurburgring Typhoon). We hope there will be no repeat for Jak Crawford. The Houston native has officially signed with team DAMS for the 2024 FIA Formula 2 season. Jak will participate with the team this week for the final FIA Formula 2 post-season testing. Jak finished his 2023 season with 1 Sprint win, 3 Sprint podiums, 1 feature podium and 6 top-10 feature scoring finishes enroute to a 13th place finish. Next season in the 2024 series, a new Dallara and a 3.5L Mechachrome engine will be in hand for the drivers. www.fiaformula2.com/Latest/7FBNM9nK9mviC71pN5ReFh/jak-crawford-switches-to-dams-for-2024-campaign

It is stunned how the 2024 class is coming. Despite not taking wins, Colin Queen just moved up another step towards his goal. The Cota De Caza, Calif. native will stick with Team Fortec for his debut in the GB3 Series Championship. Colin's resume consists as runner-up in the BRSCC Formula Ford 1600 series in 2022 and 4th in the GB4 Series Championship scoring 10 podium finishes and 4 top-5s. www.gb-3.net/news/2023/nov/30/gb4-frontrunner-colin-queen-graduates-to-gb3-with-fortec-motorsport

https://www.instagram.com/p/C1H3-fLNzqZ Talk about the Dallas Cowboys being "America's Team". But 2 drivers are far from becoming 1. With Jak Crawford on board, the miracle story of Juan Manuel Correa continues. A Christmas gift just arrived 4 days early for the Miami native as Correa just got picked up by DAMS Racing as the 2nd driver joining Houston Native Jak Crawford for their All-American line-up for the 2024 FIA Formula 2 season. This 2023 season, Correa scored 1 sprint top-5 finish at the Red Bull Ring and 6 top 10 finishes enroute to a 19th place finish in the FIA Formula 2. Just like Crawford, Correa also tested this season with DAMS. JAK, MANNY: WE WISH YOU THE BEST OF LUCK!!!!AND WE ALSO WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!www.fiaformula2.com/Latest/66r8Yw96xppjQieElzzZ9K/juan-manuel-correa-moves-to-dams-to-complete-2024-lineup

I've been following these threads continuously. Honestly, your research has been incredible. Thanks.
But I wonder if any of these young men ever make it to F1 the way it's structured right now.

RH: As much as I know, I am a total die-hard US fan. But nothing is guaranteed until I examine the performance of the drivers. They are promising young drivers, I do not doubt that. But is all about the drivers. It will be up to the driver who can bring the results. Then, I evaluate whether they are F1 material or not.

Just when we thought there will be no US drivers in the Red Bull program, another US hopeful steps in. 2 weeks ago, Red Bull announced the signing of 2023 WSK Karting Masters Champion James Egozi. The Miami native will participate in the Spanish Formula 4 with Team Campos. While competing with PHM, James managed to score 1 top-5 finish and 8 top 10s with 2 rookie podiums enroute to a 14th place finish. His other events other than 2 non-finishes kept it above P20. www.redbull.com/int-en/juniorteam/drivers/james-egozi-red-bull-junior-team

https://www.instagram.com/p/C32UiAUtoKa Late arrivals continue to show up and it will be a new beginning for a team that is coming off of their shadow. Rodin Motorsport have 2 entries for the Spanish Formula 4 championship. It will also feature Sacramento, California native Preston Lambert. Preston's resume consists of multi race wins in both Karting and open-wheel in the US Formula 4 West with World Speed. Lambert becomes the 2nd US driver in the series joining Miami native James Egozi who will have support from Red Bull Racing. Lambert will also race in the Czechia-based FIA Formula 4 Central European Zone series. (I WISHED IT DID. BUT THERE IS NO RELATION WITH HOF STEELER LB JACK LAMBERT)www.rodinmotorsport.com/news/preston-lambert-on-board-for-spanish-f4-and-winter-series

Bahrain became the biggest hard-rock candy to chew off for our US hopefuls in the Formula 1 weekend. And Jak Crawford ended his weekend with mixed results. The Houston native and Aston Martin development driver earned his 4th sprint podium with a 2nd place finish after starting from pole while Miami's Juan Manuel Correa ended his sprint with a P12 finish. But unfortunately, the feature race ended in shambles after Juan and Jak suffered huge frustration during their pit stops. Crawford had a contention for a 2nd podium. Also struggling was Enzo Fittipaldi who posted a P17 in the sprint before an early exit after colliding with Isack Hadjar in the 1st turn. Barbados driver Zane Maloney swept the weekend. It took 8 laps to overtake Crawford for the sprint win. Josep Marti finished in the final podium spot. Hadjar and Paul Aron rounded the top 5. The feature finish was Maloney once again with Marti and Aron taking the podium finishes. Zak O' Sullivan and Gabriel Bortoleto rounded the top 5. With the 1st round complete, Maloney holds a 12-point cushion over Marti (36-24). Aron ends his weekend in 3rd. O'Sullivan and Bortoleto complete the top 5 ahead of Crawford. Correa is yet to score as they head out to Jeddah this next weekend. www.fiaformula2.comIn the FIA formula 3 series, Max Esterson had to endure mechanical issues in the feature even after scoring his 1st FIA Formula 3 points this past weekend. The New York native had to hold for dear life after salvaging a 6th-place finish in the sprint race. But the feature is where it went south after dealing with brake issues for a poorly P24 finish. The sprint race went to debutant Arvid Lindblad who charged from the middle holding off Laurens Van Hoepen for his win. Leonardo Fornaroli scored the final podium finish with Nikola Tsolov and Tim Tramnitz hold their top 5 positions with Esterson behind them. The feature went to Luke Browning after pole sitter Dino Beganovic encountered a major malfunction at the start in which held off Christian Mansell and Tramnitz for his 1st win of the season. Sami Meguetounif and Santiago Ramos round up the top 5. This is also a weekend that Sebastian Montoya has to erase after posting a P18 in the sprint and a P17 in the feature. Fornaroli and Lindblad end their weekend in the top 5. With 1 round in record, Browning holds a 4-point lead over Tramnitz (25-21) with Mansell climbing to 3rd. Esterson leaves Sakhir in 11th as the series will take a 3-week break before heading to Melbourne at the end of March. www.fiaformula3.com

Despite no podiums, it was still the right direction for Jak Crawford with a double point finish for his weekend. The Houston native and Aston Martin development driver managed to score 2 top-5 finishes in the FIA Formula 2 series at Jeddah with a 5th place finish in the sprint and a 4th in the feature after faltering in his front-row start. Miami native Juan Manuel Correa's weekend was filled with thorns after clipping the wall in the sprint with 2 laps to go and a P14 finish in the feature after going 26 laps without stopping. His results were also hampered by a penalty during qualifying after blocking Taylor Barnard who was in his hot lap. Crawford's 5th place finish was a gimme after race winner Richard Verschoor was excluded due to an incorrect throttle pedal progressivity map installed prior to the race which was not in compliance with Article 8.2.6 of the Technical Regulations. Dennis Hauger was declared the winner with Paul Aron and Enzo Fittipaldi locking the podium positions for the sprint event. Zane Maloney and Crawford complete the top-5. Fittipaldi came strong in the feature for his maiden win after a 5th place start. Kush Maini and Hauger rounded the podiums after Crawford faltered at the finish line. Amaury Cordeel rounded the top-5. After 2 rounds, Maloney remains as the series leader with Fittipaldi scoring his 1st points of the season climbing big for 2nd with Hauger only 1 point behind in 3rd. Aron and Hauger complete the top 5. Crawford drops 1 position to 7th as the series heads Down Under to Melbourne. www.fiaformula2.com

https://www.instagram.com/p/C4at_CPvkIq The road to open-wheel in general is becoming tough. And there are times you have to take a different route to reach the goal. And Kaylen Frederick was in need of a ride. And there are times sponsors will take him on his next level and what is available. And the Potomac, MD., native landed on the Far East where he signed with the Super Formula power-house B-Max racing for the upcoming 2024 Super Formula Lights season. Just recently, Frederick tested the Super Formula Lights car and in day 1 at Motegi, Frederick was 10th fastest during dry conditions. And was 5th in the wet. It will be a huge test for Kaylen if he makes his attempt to become a contender. The points system in the Japanese open-wheel series will be tough to score. formulascout.com/kaylen-frederick-moves-across-to-sf-lights-after-three-years-in-fia-f3/116397
