Another talent North of the border has arrived for the GB4 series as Mayer Deonarine will make his European debut. The Ajax, Ontario native will join fellow Canadian Callum Baxter with Graham Bunton Racing this season. Deonarine is only committed for the 1st event of the season, But he is only 14 as Deonarine started his car racing career by entering Radical Cup North America’s season opener at Sebring. He sits third in the Pro 1340 standings after making the class podium in all three races, and plans to make further appearances in the series. Last year he was 12th in the Florida Winter Tour and 13th in the ROK Vegas final for ROK Junior karts, and came 22nd in the final for KA100 Junior karts in Superkarts USA’s SuperNationals event. He might have to wait until he is 15 when he has to start entering other rounds in the future. www.gb-4.net/news/2024/mar/18/canadian-racer-mayer-deonarine-joins-graham-brunton-racing-for-gb4-bow-at-oulton-park-

https://www.instagram.com/p/C45XK7SCMFU Heading Down Under was a total downer for our US contention. But Jak Crawford knows how to make passes and the knowledge of how to use the tires during the latest Formula 2 round at Melbourne. The Houston native and Aston Martin development driver got a special gift from Franco Colapinto where Colapinto got himself DQ'd from the results for not engaging in the race start set-up procedure. So Crawford managed to get 1 point for P10 + 1 point for posting the fast lap of the feature race. Miami's Juan Manuel Correa would post a P14 for his efforts. Crawford's results just barely erased his worst weekend after crashing out during qualifying. He also came short for the last point in the Sprint race after a P9 finish. Correa finished P11 for his efforts. Crawford was dropped to the final car on the grid for a tire infraction after the sprint where the left rear tires of both “option” compound sets unusable for safety reasons. Isack Hadjar made redemption during the Feature race with a win after his sprint race win was stripped for his incident with his teammate Josep María Martí and Invicta Racing’s Gabriel Bortoleto at the start of the Race. Hadjar, Paul Aron, and Zane Maloney scored the podium positions. Andrea Antonelli and Ritomo Miyata rounded the top 5. Enzo Fittipaldi post a P17 for his efforts After the DQ'd from Hadjar, it was Roman Stanek earning the win with Dennis Hauger and Kush Maini scoring their podiums. Colapinto and Miyata rounded up the top 5. Fittipaldi finished in P17. With 3 rounds completed, Maloney holds his lead over aron (62-47) with Hauger dropping 1 spot to 3rd. But Hadjar leaps 10 spots to 4th after his feature win. Maini drops 2 to 5th followed by Fittipaldi. Crawford is in a tie with Jose Maria Marti for 7th. Correa remains scoreless. The Formula 2 season will take a 1 month break before heading to Barcelona for testing before returning for the European rounds starting at Imola in May. www.fiaformula2.com

https://www.instagram.com/p/C47yTIZNbg1 Also having a disappointment was Max Esterson who had the worst results during his FIA Formula 3 weekend. The New York native got dropped to P26 after serving a 10 second penalty for going off track limits during the sprint race. But recovered to finish P14 in the Feature at Melbourne. Martinus Stenshorne was the eventual winner of the spring holding off Arvid Linblad and Laurens van Hoepen, Mari Boya and Oliver Goethe rounded the top 5. Sebastian Montoya manages to get in the scoreboard with his 1st points with an 8th place finish. Dino Beganovic recovered from his penalty after taking his 1st win of the season with Leonardo Fornaroli and Gabrielle Mini scoring their podiums. Luke Browning and Charlie Wurz round up the top 5. Montoya scores another points position with a P6. After 2-rounds, it is Browning holding a tie-breaker from his feature win at Sakhir over Fornaroli with 37 each. Mini climbs 4 positions to 3rd followed by Beganovic who leaps 10 spots to 4th. Lindblad rounds up the top 5. Montoya scores his 1st point classifying himself in 12th. Esterson drops 7 leaving Melbourne in 18th. The FIA Formula 3 drivers are heading to Barcelona for testing before returning to competition at Imola. www.fiaformula3.com

https://www.instagram.com/p/C5OiXHjtH6w The season for Ugo Ugochukwu was in fact a warm-up for his upcoming Formula Regional European season due to his time at the GB3 season. But it was also some track time once he heads to Spa and Silverstone this season since his regular series do not make stops at Spa and Silverstone. But his results for the New York native and McLaren development driver were as usual - 2 3rd place podiums and a 4th at Oulton Park this weekend. Louis Sharp posted his race 1 win over John Bennett with Ugo Chukwu rounding the podium. Gerrard Xie and McKenzy Cresswell round up the top 5. Cota De Caza, California native Colin Queen finishes in 8th. Gainesville, Georgia native Noah Ping finishes P14 while Atlanta's Shawn Rashid finished 19th. Bennett would later switcheroos Sharp for his 1st win during damped wet series with Cresswell completing the podium. UgoChukwu and Xie round up the top 5. Rashid posted a 12th for his efforts. Ping finishes 15th. Queen was a non-finisher. In a reversed grid where the top 12 are inverted, William Macintyre was declared the winner after Arthur Rogeon lost 6th gear halfway to the finish. Jarrod Waberski and Ugochukwu are the podium finishers. Tymek Kucharczyk and Sharp complete the top 5. Queen posted another top 10 with a P9. Ping ends his Oulton Park Weekend in 11th. Rahsid end his day early after getting collected by Aditya Kulkarni during a safety car period after gearbox damage. With 1 round to go, Sharp holds Ugochukwu for the points lead. Bennett remains 1 point behind 2nd, Macintyre and Cresswell hold their top 5 positions. Ping hold 12th in the point with Queen in 13th. Rashid ends his weekend in 17th as the series heads to the 1st of 2 visits at Silverstone. Rodin: You better have wardrobe for Ugo. www.gb-3.net

https://www.instagram.com/p/C5JxYjWNsCY Another driver who performed very well at Oulton Park is Callum Baxter who just scored a pair of top 5s in his debut in the GB4 series. The Halifax, Nova Scotia native took great amends with a P4 finishes in races 1 and 3 along with a P10 in race 2. Alisha Palmowski took the surprise win in Race 1 - A 1st for a female driver in the series with Harry Burgoyne and Brandon McCaughan taking the podium spots. Baxter and Branden Templeton rounded up the top 5. Ajax, Ontario native Mayer Deonarine posted a P9 for his efforts. Race 2 belonged to McCaughan. Burgoyne and Templeton completed the podium after the race was shorten due to heavy rains. Leon Wilson and Palmowski complete the top 5. Baxter would only reach to P9. Deonarine was unable to finish. But was classified 7th right when the red flag was given. Ganfors spoiled Chloe grant's weekend with his win. But regardless, it is the 1st time that female drivers made their podium debuts on that weekend. Burgoyne takes the final podium spot with Baxter and Templeton rounding the top 5. Deonarine got caught in a collision with Race 1 winner Palmowski end his weekend. After 1 round, it is Burgoyne taking the series lead despite not winning a race. Branfors and McCaughan are 5 points apart for the 2nd place spot. Templeton and Palmowski round up the top 5. Baxter stays close to the top 5 in 6th while Deonarine stays on the bottom classified in 13th as the series heads to Silvertone. www.gb-4.com

It was a short debut for our North American Contention in the Eurocup-3 opener when mother nature had to interfere. Atlanta native Garrett Perry received a rude awakening when red flag conditions forced the end of the 1st race of the season at Spa-Francochamps ending his Saturday with a 15th place finish after the rain intensified. Javier Sagrera conquered the mid-heavy rain conditions to take the 1st win of the season after the red flag ended the race. But his win was complete gift after pole-sitter Owen Tangavelou ran into mechanical problems on the formation lap. Alexander Abkhazava and Kirill Smal complete the podium. Emerson Fittipaldi Jr. and Suleiman Zanfari rounded the top 5. Richmond Hills, Ontario native Nick Gilkes posts a P10 for the final point of the race. Sagrera takes the early lead of the series as the series heads South to the Red Bull Ring in the middle of May. eurocup3.org/new/sagrera-wins-under-tricky-conditions-at-spa

Weather was the speed bump for Ugo Ugochukwu while competing in the GB3 Championship series this past weekend at Silverstone. The New York native and McLaren development driver scoured back to take a 2nd place finish in race 2 after poorly finishing in 6th in race 1. Tymek Kucharczyk conquered the wet conditions for his 1st win of the season behind McKenzy Cresswell, and William Macintyre who received podium honors. Series points leader Louis Sharp and Gerrard Xie rounded the top 5 finishers behind Ugochukwu. Cota De Caza, California native Colin Queen posted a P13 ahead of Atlanta's Shawn Rashid who finished P14. Gainesville, Ga. native Noah Ping finished last in P22. Race 2 honors belong to Macintyre holding a late rally from Ugochukwu at the finish with Kucharczyk taking the final podium spot. Cresswell and Sharp rounded up the top 5. Ping eventually finished 13th. Queen posted a P16 for his efforts. Rashid ends his weekend in P20. Race 3 had to be called off due to heavy wet conditions. With 2 rounds completed, Sharp continues to hold his points lead over Ugochukwu with Macintyre behind 1 point in 3rd. Cresswell and Kucharczyk round up the top 5. Also at Silverstone with the wet conditions, 2 of Canada's best would not breakthrough in the damp weather. Ajax, Ontario native Mayer Deonarine was the best performer during the 2nd round in the GB4 Championship after posting a 7th place finish in race 2. And Halifax, NS. native Callum Baxter posted 2 P9s for his efforts. Linus Ganfors completed the Silverstone Daily Double taking victory in race 1 over Alisha Palmowski and Marcus Luzio who completed the podium finishes. Finn Harrison and Harry Burgoyne rounded up the top 5. Deonarine finished in P13 in race 1. Ganfors would complete the double over Harrison and Leon Wilson. Palmowski and Burgoyne seal the top 5. Heavy rain forced the cancellation of race 3. After 2 rounds, Ganfors extends his points lead over Burgoyne, and Palmowski. Brandon McCaughan and Branden Templeton complete the top 5. Baxter stays in the running in 6th. Deonarine moves 2 spots to 11th as the series take a 1-month break before heading to Donington Park during Memorial Day Weekend. www.gb4.net
