I made a poem for the race
The engines roar with thunderous might, As drivers gear up for a thrilling fight, The Daytona 500, the race of all races, Where speed and skill are put to the test with all their paces.
The track glistens in the Florida sun, As fans cheer on for their chosen one, The green flag drops, and the race begins, With speed and precision, every driver aims to win.
Mile after mile, lap after lap, The tension builds, the crowds gasp, Who will cross the finish line first, And earn the title, of a racing champion's worth?
As the checkered flag waves in the breeze, The winner celebrates with great ease, For they have conquered the Daytona 500, A feat accomplished by only the most mighty.

Do you suppose the drivers have figured out it's not a good idea to just keep pushing and pushing and pushing until you wreck the guy in front of you?

Pushing in the draft, it seems like a plan, A way to help out, lend a helping hand. But in NASCAR races, it often spells doom, A risk that can turn a good race to gloom.
A slight misstep, a moment of doubt, Can send a car spinning, flipping about. The pusher, the pushed, both at great risk, In the draft, things can happen so brisk.
It's a dance with danger, a game of chance, Pushing in the draft, a perilous stance. Though it may help in the short run, In the end, it's often not worth the fun.
So drivers beware, and take heed of this rhyme, Pushing in the draft, can waste all your time. It's better to race with skill and poise, Than risk it all for a few extra joys.

On pit road, speed is of the essence, But too much of it can be a great offense. A penalty waits for those who exceed, The speed limit set to ensure safety indeed.
In the heat of the moment, in the rush of the race, It's easy to forget to slow down and pace. But the rules are clear, and they must be followed, A penalty for pit road speeding is never hollowed.
The punishment is harsh, the cost is high, Time and position lost, with a long sigh. The team and driver must regroup and focus, To recover from the penalty, and hope not to lose us.
So drivers take heed, and heed this warning, To avoid a pit road penalty, and stay in the morning. Speeding is not worth the risk, nor the cost, A measured approach is what's needed most.

For those watching this race, does your local Fox station have widely varying volume levels between the race and commercials?
Fox 45 in Dayton is a fucking joke.
Any show they air has very low volume and "normal" commercial levels. It's not that the commercials are loud, it's that the program content volume is low.
This is a major pain in the ass.

I’ve been watching, and have my college baseball on my tablet and splitting time on each forum. Wasn’t a whole lot going on in the race, which is a good thing.
