91F with a 95F heat index will do that! I fucking hate living here in case I haven't mentioned it before. Falling Iguana Alerts are cute, but I consider that "long pants" weather. My daughter lived in Boca Raton for about three years - moved back to Maryland, the constant heat was too much. Visited her and her family for Christmas one year - 87 Christmas day.

Sainz's story. This is his first year in a car that can win. He's holding to tight. He's lost the edge

The talking heads were questioned about the number of White Flags for slow moving vehicles.
The current - go slow, get a gap, manage tires on a out lap, save the power train on a in lap - is a BULLSHIT way to race.
A RACE CAR on track without some kind of mechanical issue should never need a White Flag to protect it from cars at competitive speeds.

FP1 underway and they are already complaining about the heat 91F with a 95F heat index will do that! Aren't these the very same people that willingly go to Abu Dhabi and Jeddah to race? They need to stop complaining about something they have no control over and get on with it!! Although with all the wrecks today could be some need to dial it back just a bit.

The problem is they all have different ways to get to their optimum race speed and with track designers building in multiple blind corners on all the new track there's no where for the cars to go

A F1 car at 20 MPH should self destruct!

A F1 car at 20 MPH should self destruct! I do agree in principle but cool down laps are required due to the tires the FIA has decided that Pirelli needs to supply, with Qualifying be sooo important in most races not getting a really good lap in practice is very important for your Qualifying laps. I ALSO think the FIA needs to mandate a minimum lap speed at each and every checkpoint around the track during every session EXCEPT when the double yellow flags or the red flags are being waved so that the cars backing everything up is minimized and severely penalized ie with grid spot penalties for each one. Yes they can argue to the Stewards after the session but the cameras and data doesn't lie so they better have a damn good reason why they were going slower than the minimum speed.

FP1 underway and they are already complaining about the heat LOL. They should come here. We hit 97 today in Austin ... on May 3. We're just getting started. 10 or so degrees hotter than Miami, with almost the same humidity. 99-100 incoming tomorrow and Sunday. It's gonna be a helluva summer here.

A cool day for Miami this time of year. The forecast is past Monday no more 90s this entire month
Yeah, beat me to it. 91 is definitely not cool for Miami in May. Even in July or August their avg high temperature is 87-88.

Albon in the Williams finishes FP1 quicker than Hamilton. as I mentioned b-4, you tube has loads of enquirer like F1 updates. Many in the passed few days are about the Mercs. How they've solved their problems or whatever. :-) Well, they've seemed to have solved the porpoise thing. As have pretty much everybody else. And one merc looks to be pretty quick in P1. George is about 8/10ths up on lulu. They lowered the Merc later in the afternoon and it still porpoised like crazy.

Or are they playing it safe with ride height in FP1 and everyone will lower the cars for FP2.
BTW those damn Merc fan bois are irritating especially Karun, within two minutes he says Mercedes are in play for the weekend then says about something else well its to early to tell how they will shake out...... Yep, nailed it. And yeah, Karun is a beating, even without the fanboi bs.

The cars run lower as a result. When they get to race levels they'll be hopping like frogs in heat.
