Yeah, well, Ferrari screwed the pooch on strategy. When VSC came out, they could have double-stacked Leclerc and Sainz and switched them both to SOFTS or MEDIUMS. They didn't.... the end. Should never have been a VSC - should have gone directly to a full SC.

Humm two out of three ain't bad. Glad it was a successful race. My buddy was one of many that busted his ass to help make it happen.

Exciting race in spite of the phoney "Marina" - Boats on trailers surrounded by imitation water. Who are the boat salesmen who dreamed that up?

the racers looked knackered after the race. Reminds me of Malaysia back in 99 or 2k. After that race Mika was so trashed he could stand for the podium. And the Schu looked like he didn't break a sweat. :-)

I really don't know what I'm supposed to feel about Ferrari? Am I disappointed they couldn't turn a 1-2 start into a win for either driver or am I happy they each finished on the podium? This season has me all effed up.

I wasn't impressed with the wreck clearance of the Norris incident - car came to rest immediately adjacent to a cut out in the track that was staffed by personnel and car removal equipment. All of which did noting until well after Norris had exited he car and walked away. VSC delay any attempt to render aid as it kept the entire field on track and streached out in their same relative positions to each other ALL AROUND the track. Once the real SC was put on track, then the field could close up behind it and thus give workers a window in which to work with the Norris car and the debris that was still on track. I have seen better handling of such situations at SCCA Regionals.

I agree I watched as Norris just sat there like he was talking on the radio or something but not one track worker went even near him except THRU the fence and even then they had to yell, I was not impressed!! Then I too saw the wrecker sitting right there but not one track worker did ANYTHING at all about getting the car into the hole and off the track. LOTS of cars went by under the VSC before the cameras showed anyone doing anything about the wreck at all.

Thought telemetry was only supposed to go from car to pit. I think they told him what to do, so maybe my bad. :-) I saw a report that Perez said the power problem was never really fixed which is why he wasn't able to pass Sainz at the end.

Peter what's his name has a pretty good race analysis. Check it out. Ferrari had a race winning car. But the home work Max & Checo did on the mefium and the hard tires on Saturday in the P3 session payed off big time.
