So you can't adjust the wheels or the hubs to prevent the thread being sufficiently high to be able to engage the wheel nut without the wheel be properly seated on the pegs. And you can't adjust the wheels or peg to prevent sticking when the wheels heat up from braking or other causes and expand in the peg fit area. I never suggested you could, but Nascar could ... Nascar has allowed the wheel modification because they F'd up the drivepin size. Yet NASCAR DID NOT communicate to ALL the teams that they F'd up.

I understand the penalty where the intact wheel/tire came off the car - to an extent. Why was the Jack man penalized? He doesn't touch the wheel/tire.
In the case where it appeared that the tire departed the wheel - isn't Goodyear the party that mounts the tires on the wheels? It isn't unheard of for tire technicians to damage wheels in the mount/dismount cycle.

Sad news from Texas Highway Patrol. DGR hauler driver Steven Stotts was pronounced dead at the scene. Passengers John Zaverl and Michael Mizzelle are in stable condition. Driver of the other vehicle involved is in stable condition. They were taking ARCA car to Phoenix.

And if Elliott gets Kyle Larson out of his head, he'll be part of that too (25 years old).

LeMans should have several Garage 56 entries - will the cars be required to have a closed drivers window and a opening drivers door?

Nascar announced a penalty to RFK for "modification of single source supplier part." Jayski article doesn't say what the part was but it was a serious penalty. They lost 100 driver and owner points and $100k along with McCall suspended 4 races.

^ Bob is usually pretty reliable, so take this for what it is worth.

"From people I have talked to, the issue on the Brad Keselowski car had to do with the body at the rear of the car."

^ How can somebody be "once again indefinitely suspended"?
Kinda thought indefinitely was pretty much forever.

"The charge was dropped by a prosecutor in February and Troconis’ suspension was lifted. However, the charge was reinstated this month and Troconis (legal name Carlos Eduardo Trocon Ortiz), 42, was arrested by the Talladega (Ala.) County Sheriff’s department on March 18."

You still can't be "once again indefinitely suspended".
It's my rant on how inept "journalists" are these days.
