Lewis Hamilton is a great driver who can find that extra bit of speed in a way only about six or seven of his F1 peers, throughout history, can do. He's also a self-serving asshole who plays dirty politics in the exact same way he accuses others of doing, and he's in no way deserved even half of the championships he's been awarded. So basically, he is Alain Prost

Yes. With Honda leaving and the powers that be desperate for Merc to stay in F1 there is no doubt how this championship is being shaped. As an engineer, NEVER FORGET TRACING POINT. Fuck cheating Merc. So you are saying the fix is in and Stroll takes out Lulu as he goes by?

Too bad you didnt crash into him so he would get a 10 second penalty Well my brother was the steward. That could have worked out for me.

With all the favoritism that F1 management is being accused of, are we forgetting that it specifically slowed Mercedes down this year with its mandated aero changes around the rake of the cars?

I am guessing that many of you think 9/11 was staged, too.... ;-) Can we take a moment to appreciate what a good job Ocon has done this season? He's not a rookie but even after Alonso got up to speed, Ocon has had some good races and qualifying. And Gasly has continued to impress as well. Sainz has made Leclerc look human, though I would still guess that long term, Leclerc will have more upside. Would we all agree that F1 would be better with Mazepin's money but no Mazepin?
I know you think you were being funny, but I was working less than 4 miles from the Pentagon on 9/11. We heard the plane crash. Not funny.
I was in the Alexandria Virginia Fire Dept back then too and most of the guys in the picture holding the US Flag draped over one side of the Pentagon are the guys I worked with, in fact my brother-in-law was one of the guys who had to go in to put the fire out where the plane went in because the Arlington Virginia Fire Dept was busy getting people out of the area to prevent more victims. My b-i-l's Engine arrived about 10 seconds behind the Arlington ones and their access was better positioned to fight the fire due to the path they all travelled. Me personally I was sitting on the top of a building along I95 watching the Pentagon burn as I'd recently had my second Achilles tendon surgery so was on desk duty testing building alarm systems because they gave us boots we were forced to wear with no arch support and no orthotics allowed, over a dozen of us had to eventually retire because of it. As an aside my neighbor across the street from my home was on vacation or he wouldn't be alive today as the plane went right thru his window!!

I was thinking that with 2 hard races on lulu's "hot" engine he'd start to lose some of it's grunt. But last weeks race was only about a 1/2 race. With all the yellow flags and so on. This championship has been baked in since Silverstone, if not before. The powers that be, that being the brits could never really stomach The Schu. Now one of their own has a chance to break his record and get the 8th WDC. Unless lulu bins it with Maxie nowhere in sight, this one is lulu's. I remember reading that they were going to use that engine for Saudi, but then I thought I hear reference to them NOT using it in the end last week. Did you read anywhere that they definitely did? The Merc top speed was about the same as the Red Bulls, I think. Different aero packages, though. I read on the internets that they were going to use it. That was the friday of last weekend. If they really did I don't know. If someone has different info, please post it.

So is it required for F1 to keep the status quo so Mercedes wins forever? LOL, yep. Poor, poor Mercedes! Goes nicely with the poor, poor Lewis drivel we hear so often. Never mind them having a stranglehold on F1 since 2014 - due the baked-in advantage they've enjoyed and still enjoy.

Yes. With Honda leaving and the powers that be desperate for Merc to stay in F1 there is no doubt how this championship is being shaped. Then why wouldn't they help Ferrari into at least second place? They are far more important to F1 than Merc. They take Ferrari for granted. Ferrari is F1 and they have no where else they can go.

No, that was to slow ALL of the cars. It just effected Merc and Forced Nepotism more because of their low rake concepts.

Max winning the championship does not fit the world wide narrative...besides the point this is Mercedes formula so meh, whatever. Go Kimi.

Why do i have a feeling that Masi deducting points is a one way street? Why do I feel that Masi has exceeded his Peter Principal level by many steps.

My response: Here's a pic I just found of the Merc on its long run today ... ... and a Giorgio Piola technical illustration of the configuration.

It'll be interesting how the soft/medium mix plays out after Max blew RB's preferred strategy. I suspect he will still make it work.
