Likely scenario is that he starts the sprint race from the pits. After all the stewards have his wing.
If Merc then took a new pu it would at the very least also be a pitlane start on Sunday. Gasly took a new pu after his crash in the Italian sprint race and that's what he had to do. Odds are Merc won't do that.

He must have been give a heads up by someone to actually have something to 'test' the gap with more than just a glove or finger if I had to guess maybe one of their high res photo guys. |

A rear wing produces ~400 pounds of downforce. So it makes perfect sense Max damaged it with half a gram of finger force.
Yeah give Max a penalty or whatever for touching the car. But Hamilton must be DQ for blatant cheating.
Otherwise Red Bull must Alonsoed the rules for the rest of the season.

Andre the giant could sit on it! As fit and strong as Max is, I doubt he managed to bend the wing….

Ted finally said something of value. His piece on the DRS wing opening measuring tool and how it works was pretty good. I didn't know there was a minimum, measurable force it must take to push the device through the slot gap.
