Any race Mercedes loses, is a good race
Hamilton bitching about dominant engines is the icing on the cake.

What Max did today was classic or vintage Red Bull racing from the years when Seb was winning his 4 titles. Started on pole position. Pulled out to a 1-2 second lead in the first couple of laps so lulu couldn't use his drag reduction system. Then he controlled the race. When I watched this I thought I was in a time warp. :-)

The thing about Mercedes is that they claim to have used their tokens but there's been nothing visible on the car that reflects that. They really haven't done any upgrades to the car big or small so is there still something on the shelf waiting to be used? Merc did it all along and used to set up their cars for clean air to take the front row in quali and force everyone else to run in traffic. I think Lulu thought he could take the lead after the turn at the top of the hill and when it didn't happen he was screwed |

Why did Norris let Perez and Bottas go by? According to the 'Racer' writeup he felt he would abuse his tires in trying to defend against intrinsically faster cars and it would have further killed his race. As it was - only the top 4 cars finished on the lead lap. |

so in the short interview with Mark Weber lulu it still talking about how the 2nd honda engine that the bulls have now is somehow faster. :-) But he never said a thing when the Mercs did it in the past, he's becoming more and more of a vocal and public whiner the less often he wins!! Channeling 2011 again! |

Did anyone else laugh at the way Croft handled post-race? If I had to describe it, his tone was "somber."  Soft-spoken, disappointedly saying "And there's the winner, Max Verstappen," as opposed to the "AND LEWIS HAMILTON WIIINNNSSS" Yet another example of why I hate watching the British feed for F1. It makes American news channels seem unbiased in comparison. |

It was a fairly boring race but I'm glad Max won. I'm actually more glad that Lewis didn't win. What I really want to see for 2022 is for Merc to hire a driver that will challenge Lewis and the team lets it happen. I think days that Bottas is competitive the team has held him back or messed up his race with an alternate strategy.

Korean cable TV is lousy. no more NASCAR nor NHRA
