Welcome to the new normal! I guess this is where we will be kicking off the F1 season.
I think Renault is now Alpine and Tracing Point is Aston Martin.
I'm starting this early so I don't forget!
Let's go!

Ferrari's boss Binotto says on social media that Aston Martin will be quicker than Ferrari in 2021. :-) With all of Ferrari's experience and money how is that even fricking possible? WHY is it taking multiple years for Ferrari to find out their problems and fix them...and NO it can't be money because they have had as much as they need!!! They need someone who can figure out the leap they need to take and then test the shit out of it to prove it works.

Bottas will finish 2nd to MB's other driver - whoever it is. I think if it's not Lewis then they will fight it out ALOT more than he has been able to in the past, yes he may still end up second but if say George Russell comes up then he has ALOT to learn about the car that Bottas already knows. Russell's advantage in the desert was the VERY short laps and almost no corners, given the longer and sometimes much more technical races on the calendar I think Bottas's advantage will shine brightly.

Poor leadership is a huge part of it, but it is also a xenophobic attitude in that they are unwilling to hire people from outside of Italy. I have no problems with Italy or Italians but the current make up of the team has not been successful, and teams which have been performing poorly do not get better by simply rearranging management. You need fresh blood and talent, and sometimes it needs to come from outside your borders. Ferrari had there most success with German and Brazilian drivers, a British designer and a French team principle.

Lewis isn’t going anywhere, F1 is the only place that gives him a platform to be a SJW.

Williams had success when they had the best and brightest people working for them - when they could no longer afford the best and brightest the tail spin began. And they haven't had the best and the brightest because of money problems. Ferrari has the cash, they should be the #1 or 2 teams based on cash alone, but they have been dismal. Williams with new ownership might improve, they have a great driver in Russell, so who knows. Have we heard of Williams hiring new people? Browsing articles I have seen that the new owners are investing in infrastructure improvements, they will also be using Mercedes gearboxes and hydrolic items instead of making them in-house like in the past. New team principle as well. Things are looking up for them.

Williams has addressed the management side of the deal. Having the greatest technical people in the world is of no help if there is no money available to fully research, design, and manufacture the product. Money and how it is used is a management issue not a technical issue. The team's approach to modern day F1 is also a management issue. You have to deal with the things that will make you competitive in 2021 and beyond.

One of those is figuring out where to best spend your money, Mercedes is far and away the best Team in F1 the last several seasons if you can buy their time tested parts it's a no brainer to do that and spend your available money in places where you can't buy speed. I was watching a show last night...the guy built a motorcycle and was swapping out the front wheels for lighter ones that cost over 3 times as much BUT gave the effect of bolting on 10 horsepower!! There aren't many places in F1 to buy 10 horsepower but if you could it's well worth the cost. Getting rid of the hydraulics engineers that design that system frees them up to work on other things or the opportunity to replace them with people who can.

The problem with that going forward is the loss of anatomy in your cars design, and that it will cost that much more to start those departments back up again. Look how long it took Renault and Forced Nepotism to rebuild their programs after they'd been diminished by their former team owners. And lets not forget Manor who had the entire Merc back end bolted to their tub and still flopped, IDK if that was bad management, or NO management.
