Damn! 92 race wins. Gasly and Leclerc did good jobs today as well. Albon; you got lapped by your teammate. Better polish up the resume. Marko needs to swallow his pride and put Gasly back in that car.

I know Charlie's getting the best car from Ferrari but Seb isn't even close. That make me think its more than the car. Racing Point (or AM) could be making a big mistake dumping Perez for Seb. I think I would continue with Perez and Strolle should be thankful his dad owns the team.

Seb left Red Bull because they no longer did the 'blown rear end' thingy and it was hard for him to adjust, I'm guessing he is also struggling with 'his way' of driving as Ferrari tries to recover from their engine woes. Can he adjust sure in time if he wants too, but since he's leaving I'm not sure he wants to. Making it possible that even at RP he will struggle depending on how their own car is setup, I do know that currently they use the Mercedes engines that have ALOT of power in them so it also could be more to his liking.

Seb is like a lot of established drivers, they don't know how to reset their frames of reference in what they want from a car. What worked 4-5-6 years ago is dead and buried yet they still cling to the past. The blown diffuser era is gone at seb needs to eat what's on his plate NOW. Besides, he's already last years news as far as Ferrari is concerned, they're just counting the days to his exit.

After 12 races last year with RB Gasly had 63 points. After 12 races with Alpha Tauri this year Gasly has 63 points. He's probably about to get shit canned.

If not then yes he's probably gone. If a Team can bring in someone new who shows promise AND bring money to the table too why would they stay with someone who doesn't bring money with them? I know Vettel has said he doesn't bring any morney but he's a veteran former WDC winner and that means he's 'special', but I don't know how long they will put up with a 'special' driver who doesn't finish in the points.

^A .021 difference in time between the two tells me a swap would do no harm.

Do you, and others on this forum, believe that Seb is a has been and is no longer a great driver? I think he's about the same as he always been, it wasn't so long ago he'd driven some fantastic races. Seb has never been at his best when he's had a strong team mate nor has he thrived when he wasn't coddled by his team's bosses, his last year at Red Bull foreshadowed a lot of what we're seeing now. Going to Ferrari put him in hard focus as the leader tasked with rebuilding the team's glory unlike his RB championship years where he was a kid living the dream. Having to lead the team AND race against stiff competition from within and without has put him in a poor mindset, he's been racing with a lot of frustration and that's come out in mistakes and radio rants, he's basically lost focus. I think he'll spring back at Aston next year but he's going to have to find new motivation with his chances of becoming GOAT all but gone.

I think Seb's best years are behind him but I think he still has some great drives in him, the question is can he do them often enough to keep his new Team happy. Ferrari decided their answer is no, RP will have to make their own decision based on their own expectations. Alpha Tauri is happy with Kimi often coming in at the back of the pack so each teams expectations are different.
