I saw everything, guys. Just remember. This is not Days of Thunder!!!!!! It is up to Indy Lights and Indy Car to re-jump your career. FIA F2 and Haas do not see any F1 in your future once they yank your major funding. But I will wait until they evaluate your future. ![](https://78.media.tumblr.com/5a5594a637ef8200508481a75cfc9af8/tumblr_olizmqFtIM1udf51xo1_500.png)

F1 was never in Ferrucci's future anyway. He doesn't have a single point toward qualifying for a super licence, so his involvement with Haas was as likely to result in an F1 ride as Carmen Jorda's with Renault. I'm also not sure that Haas was actually funding him since some of these development deals come in the form of drivers paying to be associated with the F1 team rather than the other way around.

In the inaugural FIA Formula 3 Asian Series, Fremont, Cal. native Jaden Conwright driving for Absolute Racing's lights up his comeback bid scoring 2 4th place finishes at Sepang while Houston's Chase Owen scored all finishes in the top 10 with a 5th in Race 1, a 7th in Race 2 and a 6th in race 3. Jaden's Sunday was not fortunate in Race 3 when he was encountered by an incident with F3 Asia's regular Charles Leong from the start. His clash with Leong who were battling for a top 5 position caused him to drop down outside the top 10. But it got worse when he was penalized 20 seconds with an official P15 finish. Current GP3 regular Jake Hughes completed the trifecta and a HitechGP podium sweep in the 1st 2 races. Hughes trifecta provides him a 27 point lead over his teammate Raoul Hyman who provided 2 3rd and a 2nd. Leong is in a distant 3rd. Jaden's teammate Akash Nandy - who broke the Hitech GP streak of podiums with a 2nd place finish in Race 3 gets into 4th. Conwright and Owen are in a tie for 5th. The Asian F3 series will go for a 7-week break before the 2nd round at Ningbo, China. www.f3asia.com

Motorsports seems to attract deadbeats and welshers - seems as if the Ferrucci's fit that mold.

It was a weekend of highs and lows in the Formula Renault Eurocup this past weekend at the Red Bull Ring in Speilberg. Mooresville, NC native Neil Verhagen provided 1 top 10 and his 1st top 5 finish right in front of the Red Bull crowd. Apparently for race 1, it finished under red flag conditions when rain became heavy with 10 minutes left of a 30-minute event. Half the points were awarded due to the circumstances that it did not finish 3/4 of the way with Verhagen finishing in 4th in race 1. And then finished in 8th place in a completed race 2. Boca Raton, Fl native Logan Sargeant weekend was met with a gore in race 1 after being involved in a crash at the initial lap. He would later get hit with engine trouble 2 laps before the Race 2 finish. Renault development driver Max Fewtrell would win the shortened race. Richard Verschoor and Lorenzo Colombo complete the podium. Victor Martins, Fewtrell, and Christian Lungaars completed the Renault Academy sweep in race 2. After the season's half-way mark, it is Chinese drive Ye Yifei leading the points over Lundgaard (124-118) with Fewtrell in 3rd. Martins and Charles Milesi move up to the top 5 bumping Sargeant to 6th after not being able to score. Verhagen moves from 12th to 10th in the standings as they head up to Spa-Francochamps for the 2nd half of the season. There will be also NEC action so there could be a possibility that Sargeant and Verhagen could compete. www.renaultsport.com

It was a very busy weekend for a few good US drivers. We like to give a nice shout out to Boca Raton, FL. native Logan Sargeant who just salvaged his Formula Renault Eurocup weekend with a 2nd place finish in race 2 at Spa-Francochamps in which he kept himself into the title fight. The 1st race just barely escaped with a few points. Neil Verhagen's day could not be duplicated after dropping himself out of the top 20 and to add a 3rd strike - a safety car violation in race 2 that was forced into a drive-thru. Christian Lundgaard and Victor Martins were the winners of the weekend. With 2 podium finishes, Yifei Ye continues to lead in the championship by 10 over Lundgaard (157-147). Martins remains in 3rd with Max Fewtrell in 4th. Sargeant goes up 1 spot to 5th. Mooresville NC's Verhagen drops to 12th. The series will take a 1-month break before heading to the Hungaroring in 1st weekend of September. www.renaultsport.comAnd speaking of the Hungaroring, we also like to congratulate Oyster Bay, NY's Ryan Tveter and Florida-based driver Juan Manuel Correa whom both they scored top 10 finishes in GP3 at the . Tveter finish 5th - his 3rd of the season in race 1-and a 6th in race 2. Correa finished a 7th in race 1 and was able to hold on for 5th in race 2 ahead of his fellow American. Nikita Mazepin and Dorian Boccolacci took the wins this weekend. But Anthoin hubert continues to lead the points over Callum Illot. Leonardo Puncini, Mazepin and Pedro Piquet round out the top 5. Tveter is in a tie for 8th with new teammate Alessandro Lorandi. Correa moves 1 spot to 11th as the series also go for the summer break before meeting once again at Spa-Francochamps. www.gp3series.com

It was his 1st win since his sprint victory at Silverstone in 2017. Latifi credited his win after finishing 8th in the feature enabling to earn the sprint pole scoring double points on the weekend. Lando Norris and Alexander Albon completed the sprint podium. Nyck De Vries, Sergio Sette Camera and George Russell were the top 3 in the feature. With a 2nd place finish in race 2, Norris closed the gap to 5 points behind series points leader Russell. Alex Albon, De Vries, and Artem Markelov complete the top 5 in the point standings. Latifi jumps to 11th. www.fiaformula2.com![](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DlbqO5QXcAAEhfN.jpg) Also like to congratulate Oyster Bay, NY native Ryan Tveter (Center) after scoring a 2nd place finish in the Spa feature GP3 race behind winner and teammate David Beckmann. ART driver Antoine Hubert completed the podium. But it was not fortunate in the Sprint losing 1 position for Tveter only to salvage 1 point with an 8th place finish. ART GP swept the podium with winner Nikita Mazepin, Hubert and Callum Illot. Another Toronto native - Devlin De francesco finished 18th in the feature before retiring in the sprint. Florida-based driver Juan Manuel Correa could only muster an 11th in the feature and a 10th in the sprint. Hubert continues to lead the series with teammates Illot and Mazepin behind him. Leonardo Pulcini and Pedro Piquet round up the top 5. Tveter (driving for Trident) moves up to 7th behind his teammate Guiliano Alesi after the departure of fellow teammate Dorian Boccolacci who now drives in the FIA F2 championship. Correa is stuck in a distant 12th as both series head to the Scuderia's sacred ground - Monza. www.gp3series.comEven Latifi has thoughts on Kwiki Wiki!!

He is by far the 3rd US driver in the series joining, New Yorker Yves Baltas who is driving for Campos Racing and fellow Carlin teammate Baltimore's Cameron Das. www.euroformulaopen.net/en/news/3256/american-driver-dev-gore-joins-carlin-at-silverstone

Liquid Plumr had 3-Busy Buys Plumbing. But this weekend, the US contention became 8-Busy Guys Racing.
PART 1:
In the FIA Asian Formula 3 series, and with the absence of Jake Hughes who was racing in the GP3 event at Monza, Fremont, Calif. native Jaden Conwright managed to get his charm in race 3 at Ningbo, China this weekend scoring his very 1st win in F3 Asia along with the 2 2nd place podiums he collected on Saturday breaking the Hitech GP stranglehold. Conwright also scored 3 poles. his race 2 pole was based on his fast lap in race 1. And speaking of which at the start of race 1 Conwright was caught napping by current European F3 regular Ben Hingley who went flag to flag to win race 1. In race 2, Jaden got a great start from pole leading for 25 minutes. But with 5 minutes to go, his tires just lost grip that resulted for another European F3 experienced driver Raoul Hyman to take the lead who went uncontested for the race 2 win. With Hughes absence, Hyman would take the series lead over Conwright 98-85. Houston native Chase Owen was also absent from the event. He would fall to 9th. The next round will be at Shanghai in 3 weeks time. Expect Hughes to be present at Shanghai as well. www.f3asia.com![](http://www.euroformulaopen.net/uploads/photos/medium/2518%2025%20333.jpg) In Euro formula Open, we also congratulate Cameron Das for his hard-fought 3rd place poduim finish in Race 2 at Silverstone after a disappointing 6th in race. but despite of it, the Baltimore native remains a distant 5th in the point standings. The series 2 top contenders Felipe Drugovich and Brent Viscaal split their weekend. ![](http://www.euroformulaopen.net/uploads/photos/medium/2518%2025%20355.jpg) And I like to give an honorable mention for New Yorker Yves Baltas who managed to score 2 3rd place rookie podium finishes with and P8 in race 1 and P7 in race 2. Baltas moves to 4th in the rookie standings with Viscaal remainig the rookie leader. Atlanta native Dev Gore went scoreless in his series debut. The Euro Formula Open series next round will be held at Monza this weekend. www.euroformulaopen.netAnother honorable mention goes to Toronto's Nicolas Latifi after scoring 2 top-5 finishes with a 5th in the Feature and a 4th in the sprint. Japanese driver Tadasuke Marino and George Russell split the weekend. Russell continues to hold the points lead over Lando Norris. Alex Albon, Artem Markelov and Nyck Devries round up the top 5. Latifi moves up to 9th as the series heads to Sochi. www.fiaformula2.com

PART 2:
And now for the bad. ![](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DmGRU1CUcAEEBTQ.jpg) This is how Boca Raton, Florida's Logan Sargeant and Mooresville NC's Neil Verhagen describe their weekend in the Formula Renault Eurocup at the Hungaroring: Very slippery when wet after their races were encountered by spins on their weekend. Sargeant managed to salvage a 5th in race 1 and a 7th in race 2. Verhagen went scoreless. Danish driver Christian Lundgaard would sweep the weekend taking the points lead in the process over China's Ye Yifei. Sargeant drops to 6th. Verhagen remains in 12th. The Eurocup series will meet at the Nurburgring. www.renaultsport.comIt was also wet at Monza in GP3. Florida-based Juan Manuel Correa and Oyster Bay, NY's Ryan Tveter went scoreless thus having his 6-race scoring streak snapped. Same goes to Toronto's Devlin De Francesco. David Beckmann and Pedro Piquet split the weekend. www.gp3series.com

The Boca Raton, Florida native held for dear life to get his 2nd win of the season in Race 1 and his 1st since the season opener at Paul Ricard Circuit in Le Castellet. Sargeant took the pole for race 1 and right away Sargeant just wisked away from fellow teammate and Renault development driver Max Fewtrell and MP Motorsport Christian Lundgaard who also joined the podium. Victor Martins and Alex Smolyar complete the top 5. Apparently for Mooresville, NC native Neil Verhagen could only reach 13th after starting 20th. In Race 2, the race was different when Sargeant qualified 4th behind his teammates Fewtrell, Martins and Charles Milesi whom actually finished at the podium and at the same time clinched the team championship. Lundgaard completed the top 5. Verhagen finished 12th after starting 19th. Standings after 8 rounds: 1. Lundgaard (MP Motorsport)215 2. Fewtrell (R-ace GP)201.5 3. Yifei Ye (Josef Kaufmann Racing)198 4. Martins (R-ace GP)171 5. Sargeant (R-ace GP)153 12. Verhagen (Tech 1 Racing)33 The next round will be at the Hockenheimring this upcoming weekend. www.renaultsport.com/-renault-sport-series-.html

![](https://2014.usf2000.com/images/default-source/headshots/driver-headshots/frederick.tmb-headshot.jpg?sfvrsn=1) Another US talent will make his European debut. Potomac, MD native and USF2000 front-runner Kaylen Frederick will have an audition after being signed by RP Motorsport for the EuroFormula Open this upcoming weekend at racing's most sacred track - Monza. He will join Leonardo Lorandi this weekend as well. After finishing 6th in the USF2000 this season, Frederick is the 3rd US driver in the series joining fellow Maryland statesman Cameron Das and Atlanta's Dev Gore. New Yorker Yves Baltas is yet to be confirmed possibly due to funding issues. Frederick recently tested British F3 machinery last fall and winter in 2017 with Carlin Racing and Double R Racing. www.euroformulaopen.net/en/news/3292/leonardo-lorandi-and-kaylen-frederick-added-to-rp-motorsport-driver-line-up-at-monza
