That DOES hurt ALOT!!! I always tell them 'you can have as much as you want but you only get one stick'. I was a f/f in my younger days and was in the back of an ambulance helping the Paramedic with an OLD lady with bad veins, the Paramedic stuck her 7 times before she gave up, the ladies family called the Cops and I had to swear she just couldn't get a vein to work. The old lady was screaming bloody murder as the Paramedic dug around in her arms, legs, hands and feet before she gave up. The ER Doc did a line in her neck and that worked first time, at the time the Paramedics were not allowed to do neck IV's. The veins in my arms are so bad that when I get bloodwork or my monthly infusion we go in the back of my right hand. I have one rule: You get one stick, if you miss, no digging. Pull out and we'll do it again. Start digging and I will hit you. the big veins in my arms are gone. because I self medicated back in the 70ies & 80ies. once a year I do a blood workup to check the liver functions. I tell em where to go and if they listen it's usually ok. once in awhile they don't listen and then things go south pretty quick.

^What, they don't give you green stamps?! LOL, my mom would let me stick them in the books. We had both S&H and Blue Chip.
When we had enough saved up for something worthwhile we'd drive out to Riverside where each of them had a redemption center.
Friday was the was the big day at my house, we'd get them at the supermarket, then at the butchers and finish of at the gas station where you'd get some with a full service fill up. That was enough for me, my brother and sister to have stamps of our own to fill the books with. Good times.

Re-watching Shelby American on Netflix - they do a nice job of talking up Phil Remington as the genius he was, unlike Ford v Ferrari which short shrifted him. R.I.P., Rem.

Mom was diligent in saving her Green stamps.

Vacay!!!!
Packed and ready to escape the reality of the world's shit for a week. Hopefully, the beaches won't be too crowded next week (we are staying away from them on Saturday and Sunday 😜).

Saw two huge crashes on the way down. Got overtaken by some young kid wearing shorts and a tank top on his crotch rocket doing 140+ at least. This was in Maryland, I think. I guess at that speed it doesn't matter because if he crashes, he is gonna die anyway. Saw a lot of stupid driving taking place. My g/f wonders why I like to fly.
Saw so many Toyota Camrys and Honda Accords. They must be the best selling cars in America!

Heading down to the Outer Banks! It's supposed to be rainy on and off here for the next few days, it's been roasty toasty with high humidity the last week or so, still 72% himidity right now at 77F. I'm almost to Myrtle Beach SC just inside the NC line. 2.5" of rain over the next few days for me, don't know up by Hatteras and Beaufort but the storm is coming out of Georgia headed that way.

However, they rent for about $5,000 a week. Water is cleaner there and sand is much nicer there than Virginia Beach.
