Just got my haircut for the first time since March 3. I feel so much better. How you look and how you feel are two totally different things. "If you're like me darling, you'd rather look good than feel good."- Fernando Lamas

So let me see if I have this correct... To hijack an off topic thread you have to post on topic, which in this case would be off topic... I like it...

Just filled up my gas tank for first time since March 16. 12.8 gallons. That is about 1 week per gallon. 😛

^Yup me too, I waited for gas to drop below $1 a gallon, it was as low as $1.15, but then didn't go out for a few weeks and it was back up to over $1.50 per gallon when I did fill up.

Filled up on Sunday. First time since late Feb. :-) I never pay attention to gas prices. The Acura wants premium.

My wifes Mercedes is the same way but the local grocery store gives 'points' that add up to pennies off per gallon, so we try to wait for it to get to the max of 10 cents and then fillup.

^What, they don't give you green stamps?! LOL, my mom would let me stick them in the books. We had both S&H and Blue Chip.
When we had enough saved up for something worthwhile we'd drive out to Riverside where each of them had a redemption center.

Went to local clinic a couple of hours ago to get blood work order carried out. Nurse struggled mightily to find a vein. First prick, I was fine. However, second prick and she was doing some serious fishing that was all I could handle. Welp! I passed out.😳

Back in the 60's, I heard a story about a local fellow who bought a Chevy 409 from a dealer who gave Green Stamps... ! I believe it was a Penske dealership, but can't swear to it...

I always tell them 'you can have as much as you want but you only get one stick'. I was a f/f in my younger days and was in the back of an ambulance helping the Paramedic with an OLD lady with bad veins, the Paramedic stuck her 7 times before she gave up, the ladies family called the Cops and I had to swear she just couldn't get a vein to work. The old lady was screaming bloody murder as the Paramedic dug around in her arms, legs, hands and feet before she gave up. The ER Doc did a line in her neck and that worked first time, at the time the Paramedics were not allowed to do neck IV's.

^What, they don't give you green stamps?! A couple times per year they do give out stamps but they are for glassware, pots and pans or knives etc but mostly it's points towards gas. They have their own gas stations so I'm guessing they aren't losing anything. The gas is only cheaper than the other places around it because of the points.

The veins in my arms are so bad that when I get bloodwork or my monthly infusion we go in the back of my right hand. I have one rule: You get one stick, if you miss, no digging. Pull out and we'll do it again. Start digging and I will hit you.
