https://www.instagram.com/p/CIdoGu9p5cI It was a soaking and flooded end for Jak Crawford season just as he was eager to finish in the top 5 in the Italian F4 standings. But a wet Vallelunga kept him short of a Top 5 finish in the standings. Especially when race 2 was suspended due to heavy rain conditions. Race 1 was promising after starting 15th moving 8 spots after numerous safety car periods. But with 5 minutes to go, the Houston native took a spin at Turn 9 causing a safety car with less than 3 minutes to go thus giving Oliver Bearman the win over Francesco Pizz and Jonny Edgar. Gabriel Bortoleto and dino Beganovic rounded the top 5. Sebastian Montoya finished 19th in race 1. Race 3 was promising. Crawford moved up bit by bit thanks to safety car periods. But just as he was about to move in the standings, an incident between Kirill Smal and Italian Formula 4 champion Gabriele Mini gave Crawford a 2nd place finish. But a red flag with less than 2 minutes to go costing Crawford a podium because Mini could not get back on track and after Pietro Armanni slid into the barriers in the Tornantino curve. The red flag was based on the spins by Smal and Mini. Edgar wins the finale with Smal and Mini taking the final podium spots. Bortoleto and Crawford completed the top 5. Montoya lost out points that netted him 13th. With the Italian Formula 4 championship closes his books, Mini leaves the series over Francesco Pizzi (284-208). Beganovic finishes the season in 3rd with 179. Edgar in P4 with 169 followed by Bortoleto with 157 in 5th. Crawford leaves 2020 in P6 with 150. Montoya finishes 11th for his efforts with 81. It is a great season in this new decade. And for our US hopefuls, there is a glimmer of hope on the next US driver in Formula 1. We now await where might Sargeant race with as the FIA F2 post-season test begins at Sakhir. www.f4championship.com/

Now it is offical. F1 Feeder series have just ended. And there is a good prospect that Boca Raton, Florida's Logan Sargeant could land a Formula 2 next year. Here are his official results. He was fastest in Day 2. I will take some time on how the Class of 2020 have performed. This could be the decade that will fill a Formula 1 spot. The year in review is coming up.
