Only 5 episodes of Top Gear this season and I liked the last one a lot. But they threw in some outtakes near the end along with a promo teaser that mentions 'This Summer'. That would be a lot sooner than their usual release schedule.
Is there a cast change coming?

I hadn't heard anything about the upcoming changes. So I looked it up and see that it has been known for a while. Oh well, must have been snoozing.

The Grand Tour going through Georgia and Azerbaijan with sports cars. The funniest part was the guys had to drink glasses of water and wait for 20 minutes before driving onto the track. Well, they have to hold their bladders. Guys race a Renault 9 driven by none other than test driver Abbie Eaten.

The Grand Tour Mongolian episode is pretty epic.

Since they are ditching the tent section of the show next season I think Mongolian episode will the template we see for all future episodes.

The Grand Tour Mongolian episode is pretty epic. That "Land Rover Kit" was hilarious with the way it hopped up the hills. No kidding. I was sure they were going to snap an axle.

They did a major jerk around at the end of the season finale.

So The Grand Tour returns next season minus the studio audience.

Minus the studio audience and most other things. The shows going forward will just be travel adventures. No more car tests/critiques. End of an era.

Less gratuitous power sliding and tire smoke is fine for me! I do like the Performance tests on track!

I'm pretty sure that's the part I will miss the most. The Ebola-drome was pretty cool and Abbe put down some slick laps on it.
Also, it served to break up the mindless shenanigans of the Orangutan, et al.
I've never been a fan of gratuitously destroying expensive tires, especially when it is Jezzah doing it. So no problem there.

I have to guess that they are cutting out elements that are not relevant to 'The Name of The Show'? Sadly, I expect the focus to turn to Hybrid/Electric vehicles sooner than later.
