The Moderation of the boards will be very hands off. The main rule is no direct personal attacks. You may post any facts, figures and expert opinions to support your side of the debate and/or discredit the opposition but no personal attacks will be tolerated. Keep it professional and everyone will be happy.
If you and a few other posters want to go on debating a subject for pages on end it will be allowed. Off topic discussion is also allowed. However, in both instances, if you are told to stop by a moderator or administrator, you must stop immediately. Do not ignore the moderator or administrator and do not argue about it.
With our lax rules we realize it is often hard to know when you have crossed the line on some issues, therefore the best rule to judge by is when a moderator or administrator tells you to stop, do so, do not continue or argue the issue nor offer sarcastic remarks. To do so will more than likely result in sanctions, which can be officials warnings which will raise your warning level. Enough warnings accumulated can result in a permanent ban. Any offense can also bring a temporary suspension.
Swearing is allowed but we ask you to be prudent in its use. A single swear used for humorous and witty effect is enjoyed by all, but relentless and continued use of such words becomes boring, tiresome and off putting to others. One swear, per poster, per thread, is a good base line. Swearing directly at another poster as an insult can result in a suspension.
Racist, bigoted or pornographic photos, language or topics are not allowed and posting of such can result in a ban.
Use of other members personal info without their full consent and approval will not be tolerated and can result in a ban.
We have a policy where mods and admins are required to notify you by PM of any edits or removed posts and an explanation of why it was done or leave a reason in the edited post. We also have a private section where we keep track of all edits or warnings in order to have a record. So, your body of work can result in you being deemed a problem poster, which will result in a suspension and ultimately a permanent ban.
If you abide by the rules written above, you should have no problem here. If you stop when we ask, the only risk you most likely run is having your post removed or edited or a simple warning in the thread itself.
Addendum:
If you have an issue with something that a Moderator, or Administrator has said, or done, you should do one of two things..
1) Contact the Moderator or Administrator by PM, and ask your questions or make your comments there.
2) Make a post in this thread motorsportsmayhem.freeforums.net/thread/48/forum-issues for clarification of any rules.
Thank You.
