I was being ironic/self deprecating.

Red Bull deserve what happened to Max. He returned to the pits with 6 minutes left in Q2. At 3:30 he was seen sitting in the car ready to go, but hit the track with only 2 minutes remaining. They wasted 4 minutes just so they could demonstrate that a top team at the pinnacle of racing can make a stupid mistake. He did not need to wait for the track to improve. He just needed a good lap on the red tires -- a moderately good lap that would not put excessive wear or abuse on his race tires. Instead, they let him sit there wasting valuable track time. He easily could have been in front of Mags! On the other hand it will be entertaining to watch him slice through traffic. I have him finishing 5th.

Please excuse my bewilderment but, Why does Formula 1 keep changing networks for OTA broadcasts? I just jumped through hoops to find it on ABC now! Has my brain turned to sponge?

The Canada race and the CotA race are shown on an over-the-air network. I think it's even in the contract.
Previously they were on NBC when most of the races were on NBCSN, but ABC is affiliated with ESPN.

'For qualifying and the remainder of the race weekend, Stroll will revert to the high-mileage engine he used in the first six races of the season.' Which would be ironic if it blows up just like the new-spec unit. Would Mercedes have shipped a special-spec just for Force One to try out?

Make it easy on yourself and look in the Gilles Villeneuve Lounge each race week for Pistola's helpful 'Broadcast Times/Channels' thread. The one for this race has been up since May 28th. Sounds to me like this valuable resource is being overlooked/underused.

I didn't mention it but maybe I should have added that the race will also be live on ESPN3.

I think the New York City area is getting screwed. No live F1 broadcast, we get the Puerto Rican Day Parade instead.
ESPN3 only for us.

LOL at Lewis while that little kid interviewed him.
I thought he chose #44 because it was the number he carried in karting. Apparently, it wasn't because it was later revealed he ran a different number in karting. Now, he tells this kid that 44 was the number his dad carried when he raced.
