Simon Patterson Morning update on Cal Crutchlow: he had a successful surgery last night to install external fixation to his right ankle. That’ll stay on for five or six days and then they’ll operate again to fix it internally with a plate
西村章(akira nishimura)
The latest update for kazu2275 injury in FP3. Masaki fractured left fifth metacarpal. They will decide soon if he has surgery here in Melbourne or back in Japan. Obviously unfit for the rest of this weekend, and probably Sepang as well.
The Losail Circuit is set to be resurfaced next year. To be done after MotoGP but ready for WorldSBK at the end of the season.

Bautista: "What am I going to miss about the official Ducati? The engine! ":" The difference in MotoGP is made from the details, and I had so many more people working on my bike. I hope Lorenzo returns to Sepang, but I'm available! "
Steve Day: Great to see Yamaha winning again and the emotion from Maverick after his 18 month winless streak comes to an end. Fair to say if 2019 contracts were based on 2018 performances, Iannone wouldn’t be leaving Suzuki and Bautista wouldn’t be leaving the paddock! Onto Malaysia we go..
Jorge Lorenzo: Great ride and result from 19Bautista too!! never easy to be as fast as Dovi even less if you don’t know the bike and after 2 big crashes
Viñales: A lot of emotions, mentally I've had a hard day. Today I've finally been able to give 100%. Thank the people who are behind me in these hard times, I owe them everything. We have trusted of the sensations and I hope that Yamaha can see that they also win with me

Pretty funny that the first time in all that waiting for the team that the Iwata engineers actually do something, that the bike can win a race. The team is at the mercy of the factory.

Marquez ‘no problem’ with Phillip Island DNF repeat after taking title Haydn Cobb 29 Oct 2018 Marc Marquez has shrugged off the coincidence of a third retirement during the Australian MotoGP race directly after sealing the world title the round before in Japan and had been confident of having the pace to win at Phillip Island. The Repsol Honda rider added a third DNF to his 2014 and 2016 crashes at the Australian track – which have all come immediately after securing the MotoGP world title early at Mogeti – when he was hit from the rear by Monster Yamaha Tech 3’s Johann Zarco in a high-speed clash and was forced to stop due to damage to his seat, exhaust and rear fairing. Marquez puts the run down to bad luck but feels if he can wrap up future MotoGP world titles early before failing to finish in Australia he would take it every time. “Okay, unlucky again, but if next year, if I can win the title again in Japan and crash again, zero points? I would sign,” Marquez said. “No problem.” The seven-time world champion was confident of his race pace at the Australian track and felt the race would have played into his favour had he not been taken out on the fourth lap. “I had the pace, I was concentrated and with more temperature normally our bike is working better, so I felt like we were able to fight for the victory,” Marquez said. “The start was not so good, but then suddenly I was in the front. “Then I led for two or three laps, and then I said, now it's time to be back in the group, and I went wide on purpose, I go wide in Turn 4 just to be behind, because I don't want to lead the group. And then yeah, I had the crash.” Marquez’s chequered history at Phillip Island continues with his third retirement during his MotoGP career to go alongside victories in 2015 and 2017 plus his infamous disqualification in the 2013 race remembered for the mandatory pit stop due to Bridgestone tyre concerns.
