Both Toyotas DQ'd, pending appeals, for failing the skid block deflection tests.

Just here to laugh at Toyota cheating again in a different series. Is their sporty car program run out of the cheater Colonge factory still?

Yes. BTW, Audi got DQ'd for a similar issue in 2016, as did one of the Rebellions at Spa this year.

I said and asked this on a different forum, but I'm not a fan of the skid and I think it's redundant on LMP cars. Why not mandate an actual minimum right height for LMPs aside from that fact that it's only a static measurement that can only be measured when the car's at rest?
You do have to remember that the ACO, prior to Silverstone in 2011, didn't even check wear/damage to the skids previous to that date, and they had been around since 2004 on some cars and 2006 on all LMPs outside of the Audi R8 and Lola B160s that got grandfathered for the ALMS that year.
I also don't think that deflection was a big issue with the wider front floors used 2013 and earlier.

Toyota has withdrawn their appeal, and Rebellion officially finish 1-2.

When the driver leaves part of his suit on the pavement - THEN you have a ride height problem.
Ride height DQ's are and always have been a bunch of bull.

Tell that to Ayrton Senna and a few others. BS then and BS now. Sure, correcting a tendency of drivers being killed by a sudden loses of downforce was such BS.

Sure, correcting a tendency of drivers being killed by a sudden loses of downforce was such BS. In Senna's day it was ground contacting skirts that would break and cause loss of down force.
