Red Bull’s modification to the cooling inlet/outlet arrangement in Suzuka brought the focus very much on a key aspect of the car’s concept. In today's Tech Weekly, F1 technical expert Mark Hughes takes a close look at this detail, with illustrations from Giorgio Piola…The team’s incredibly intricate arrangement of cooling channels is an intrinsic part of how Red Bull has been able to miniaturise its radiator area. This in turn is what has allowed the RB20 to feature a more centralised mass and a lower centre of gravity than its predecessor.
