Nicolo Bulega undergoes arm-pump surgery in Italy after Catalunya Round Thursday, 28 March 2024 The WorldSBK Championship leader opted for the surgery in Cremona and is expected to be back to his best for Assen 2024 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship leader Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati) underwent surgery on Thursday, 28th March at the Oglio Po Hospital (Cremona). Performed by Professor Alessio Pedrazzini to address chronic exertional forearm compartment syndrome (arm pump), a common surgery in motorcycling racing, it was decided that after previous issues, to be solved before the third round of his rookie season. The issue has been present since last winter and worsened during the Australian Round for Bulega and was aggravated last weekend in Barcelona, where severe pain threatened to limit the performance of the reigning Supersport World Champion. For this reason, in agreement with the Aruba.it Racing - Ducati team, the decision to perform surgery on Bulega's right forearm has been made. He will now have plenty of time to recover from the operation and to get in the best condition for the third round of the 2024 WorldSBK season scheduled for April 19-21 at the TT Circuit in Assen, the Netherlands.

Bautista rockets up the order to take P1 on Friday, Razgatlioglu second overall as Gardner impresses Friday, 19 April 2024 Alvaro Bautista was the fastest rider on Friday as he utilised a small spell of dry track conditions to set his best times Rain once again played havoc with the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship field as Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati) claimed top spot in Friday’s combined classification. A mid-session downpour when the red flags were out meant times didn’t improve in the final 20 minutes or so, with the #1 able to hold on to P1. He was just ahead of Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) in second after the #54 topped FP1 this morning at the TT Circuit Assen. QUICK BEFORE THE RAIN: Bautista storms to top spot, Razgatlioglu P2 Bautista was third in the morning Free Practice 1 session, and he kept his strong pace up in Free Practice 2, which was red-flagged with around 17 minutes to go due to safety conditions. With the track drying following a morning downpour before rain fell during the red flag, the #1 was able to top the times with a 1’35.473s ahead of Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team), who was fastest this morning. The #54’s best time was a 1’35.684s from the morning FP1 session and was around two tenths down on Bautista. Third belonged to Remy Gardner (GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team) as he posted a 1’35.827s in FP2 as his strong form continues, with the Australian 0.354s down on Bautista. MOVING ON UP: Rinaldi finds gains in FP2, Rea in the top five One of the big movers in Free Practice 2 was Michael Ruben Rinaldi (Team Motocorsa Racing), who moved into P1 briefly before being demoted into fourth in the combined classification as he looks to take his Independent Panigale V4 R into podium contention. He was ahead of Jonathan Rea (Pata Prometeon Yamaha) in fifth as he looks to really kickstart his campaign, with the #65 lapping less than half-a-second down on Bautista. Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati) has had a superb start to his rookie campaign and he took sixth place on his first day back on track after arm pump surgery after setting a 1’35.941s in FP2 before the rain fell. IN THE MIX? Rounding out the top ten on Friday Two brothers were next to each other in the classification, with Alex Lowes (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK) in seventh ahead of Sam Lowes (ELF Marc VDS Racing Team) in eighth and the first rider in the 1’36s bracket, finishing less than a tenth clear of Michael van der Mark (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) in P9, with the Dutchman ensuring two BMWs were in the top ten. Dominique Aegerter (GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team) rounded out the top ten with a 1’36.216s, just ahead of Andrea Iannone (Team GoEleven) in P11 on his first visit to Assen in WorldSBK. AIMING FOR GAINS: Gerloff drops down the order in FP2 Garrett Gerloff (Bonovo Action BMW) was quick in FP1 as he set a 1’36.386s but he was unable to improve in FP2, finishing down the order in 12th. Philipp Oettl (GMT94 Yamaha) was the first rider to take to the track in the afternoon and claimed 13th place, with Scott Redding (Bonovo Action BMW) ending the day in 14th. Tito Rabat (Kawasaki Puccetti Racing) rounded out the top 15, with the two Team HRC riders directly behind. Xavi Vierge was the fastest Honda in 16th ahead of teammate Iker Lecuona (Team HRC) in 17th. WORK TO DO: Locatelli well off the pace at a track he’s strong at… One big shock was Andrea Locatelli (Pata Prometeon Yamaha). He finished in 18th place in the combined classification at a track he’s been a consistent podium contender at, improving in FP2 to a 1’37.227s but finishing well down the order. He was ahead of Axel Bassani (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK) in 19th, Bradley Ray (Yamaha Motoxracing WorldSBK Team) in 20th and Nicholas Spinelli – replacing the injured Danilo Petrucci at the Barni Spark Racing Team – in 21st. The two PETRONAS MIE Racing Honda riders, Tarran Mackenzie and Adam Norrodin (PETRONAS MIE Racing Honda), rounded out the field. The top six from WorldSBK Friday running at Assen, full results here: 1. Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati) 1’35.473s 2. Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) +0.211s 3. TALENT PACKED: A competitive third row of the grid Bahattin Sofuoglu (MV Agusta Reparto Corse) ends Superpole in seventh, with the Turkish rider making it two MV Agustas inside the top 10. Twan Smits (Team Apreco) was ninth in a remarkable result for the 22-year-old, ending the session ahead of Valentin Debise (Evan Bros. WorldSSP Yamaha Team), who rounded out a frantic and talent-packed top 10. BIG NAMES: Some key contenders will start further down the field The rain mid-session caught many riders out, including Yari Montella (Barni Spark Racing Team), who was outside the top 20 for the majority of the session, including the closing stages, when the Italian managed to salvage 11th on the grid. By Jared Earle | Sat, 20/Apr/2024 - 02:22 World Superbike Superpole qualifying was missing Iker Lecuona as he was ruled unfit after a crash in this morning's Free Practice. Rain hammered the pitlane and looked like it's determined to stay all weekend.
In the rain, Jonathan Rea set an early benchmark, a 1'44.841, as riders tested the conditions, with Nicolo Bulega briefly holding a quicker lap until Rea's second lap, a 1'44.236. Bulega and Toprak Razgatlioglu swooped to the top until Rea set a 1'43.444 then a 1'43.026, a lead of four tenths of a second over Razgatlioglu.
With the wet track, the top riders remained out on track, with only a handful of riders nipping into the pits to mangle their socks dry. Jonathan Rea stated afterwards he didn't see it drying up and be worth pitting in for intermediate tyres.
Bulega dipped under the 1'43s, with a 1'42.744, only for Rea to post a 1'42.650 with Razgatlioglu third quickest. Michael van der Mark crashed out in turn five but he recovered to make the flag.
The chequered flag came out with nobody pushing for a front row lap and the top three positions of Rea, Bulega and Razgatlioglu were locked in. The second row was made of Sam Lowes and Alex Lowes with Remy Gardner joining the twins. Alvaro Bautista headed the third row, alongside Michael Ruben Rinaldi and Andrea Iannone.
Jonathan Rea looked very content to return to Parc Fermé, unexpectedly adding to his massive tally of pole positions by mastering the wet track, his forty fourth pole position and first on the Yamaha.
Twenty second placed Tito Rabat was outside the 105% required to qualify.

2024 Assen World Superbike Race One Result: You've Got To Know When To Hold 'Em By Jared Earle | Sat, 20/Apr/2024 - 05:33 The opening World Superbike race lined up on the grid behind Top Fuel drag racer Ida Zetterstrom in the safety car, and the rain returned to make everyone's tyre choices a gamble. Nicholas Spinelli stood in for an injured Danilo Petrucci. Twenty one cold and wet laps of the so-called Cathedral of Speed would be contested by twenty two riders, mostly on wet slicks. The air temperature was 17ºC at race start.
Locatelli started the race with an intermediate front tyre and Nicholas Spinelli started with intermediates front and rear. Jonathan Rea led into turn one but was passed by Andrea Iannone but it was Spinelli on the inters who passed everyone and rabbited at the front.
After lap one, Spinelli led Iannone by over four seconds with Toprak Razgatlioglu over a second behind. Sam Lowes pitted in for better tyres after one lap. Lap two, Spinelli set a 1'50.467, almost ten seconds quicker than everyone else, with second-placed Axel Bassani fifteen seconds behind the leader. Spinelli set a 1'48.479 on lap three as riders were skating all over the track behind him. Razgatlioglu and Bautista swapped back and forth on the dry section of the track, but in second place, Andrea Locatelli took second place -on the intermediate front.
Spinelli set a 1'46.248 as Andrea Iannone crashed out of sixth place, followed by a 1'44.951 on lap five. Bassani took second in the dry section again, as Razgatlioglu set a 1'44.689 with Michael van der Mark posted a 1'44.413 in tenth place. The dry tyres started to hook up as Sam Lowes circled at the back of the pack in full wet tyres on a drying track.
Lap six, Spinelli set a 1'43.180, twenty three seconds ahead of Bassani, Razgatlioglu, Bautista and Alex Lowes. Van der Mark set another fastest lap, a 1'42.362, in tenth place. Razgatlioglu set a 1'40.924 and took second place with Bautista taking third with a 1'40.924 behind him, pushing Bassani into fourth place and into the clutches of his teammate Alex Lowes who wasted no time passing him and setting a 1'40.412 fastest lap. On lap nine, Razgatlioglu went wide in to turn one and Bautista passed him with Lowes following a few corners later.
Sam Lowes pitted in once again.
Alvaro Bautista set a 1'40.023, quickly beaten by Jonathan Rea with a 1'39.549 in sixth position. Spinelli's lead was under twenty seconds nods and he was lapping two and a half seconds slower on his slower tyres as everyone behind him started going quicker and quicker.
At half race distance, Nicholas Spinelli was seventeen seconds ahead of Alvaro Bautista, Alex Lowes, Toprak Razgatlioglu, Remy Gardner, Jonathan Rea and Michael van der Mark.
Lap twelve, Spinelli led by under fifteen seconds as Rea set a 1'38.181 fastest lap in sixth place, three seconds quicker than Spinelli.
With nine laps to go, Spinelli led by eleven seconds while circulating over two seconds a lap slower than Bautista and Razgatlioglu behind him, Razgatlioglu setting a 1'37.184 as the track visibly dried out. Bautista closed to within seven seconds of Spinelli with a 1'35.972, with Razgatlioglu a quarter of a second behind him.
Lap fifteen, Spinelli's lead was three seconds from Razgatlioglu, setting a 1'35.777 and passing Bautista hard into the GT chicane to start the lap in second place. Bautista remained in his wake as the pair closed on Spinelli whose tyre gamble looked to have come to an end.
And then, with Spinelli's lead due to be inevitably closed by the fight between Razgatlioglu and Bautista, fate stepped in to stir the championship up. Red flags came out, and with fourteen laps complete, the result was called.
Nicholas Spinelli took his debut win in his debut race by under two seconds as oil on the track from Andrea Locatelli's exploding bike gifted him red flags. Toprak Razgatlioglu took second place ahead of Alvaro Bautista. Remy Gardner, Alex Lowes and Jonathan Rea rounded out the top six. Spinelli was the fifth different winner in seven races, with the almost impossible stat of two riders winning on their debut races in the class.
Nicolo Bulega leads the championship by one point over both Alvaro Bautista and Toprak Razgatlioglu. Alex Lowes is five points further back.

Brilliant Bulega a second clear in wet FP3, Bassani impresses in third with Toprak P8 Saturday, 20 April 2024 Nicolo Bulega was impressive in the wet conditions as times improved rapidly towards the end of FP3 More rain greeted the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship field at the TT Circuit Assen for Free Practice 3 and it was Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati) who mastered the conditions to finish a second clear of his rivals. After Friday’s mixed conditions, everyone wanted to be on track with a fully wet circuit and ensure they were prepared for all potential conditions for the Tissot Superpole session and racing at the Pirelli Dutch Round. With the track fully wet when the green flags waved, there was a rush to get out on track in conditions which appeared to be more consistent compared to yesterday’s mixed bag. Times were in the 1’53s bracket in the first laps, until Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati) posted a 1’52.523s to go 0.755s quicker than compatriot Andrea Locatelli (Pata Prometeon Yamaha) in second. However, as riders adjusted to the conditions, everyone was able to find time. More than eight seconds were found between the start and end of the 20-minute session, which in the end was topped by Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati) as he ended the session with a 1’44.274s, finishing over a second clear of Alex Lowes (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK) in second after he posted a 1’45.749s, with teammate Axel Bassani in third after a strong session in the wet on his ZX-10RR. Home hero Michael van der Mark (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) had a great session as he took fourth place and finished as the lead BMW rider, with reigning Champion Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati) claiming fifth place but almost two seconds down on his teammate. Britain’s Sam Lowes (ELF Marc VDS Racing Team) completed the top six as he took advantage of perhaps some familiar conditions to run in the top positions. Independent Ducati rider Michael Ruben Rinaldi (Team Motocorsa Racing) is having a good weekend and that continued with seventh in FP3, finishing a tenth ahead of Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) in eighth who found gains in latter stages of the 20-minute session. Andrea Iannone (Team GoEleven) led at times throughout FP3 but was demoted to ninth as the session concluded, while Garrett Gerloff (Bonovo Action BMW) completed the top ten. There were two crashes in the session. Andrea Locatelli (Pata Prometeon Yamaha) had a lowside crash at the high-speed Turn 12, but he was able to re-mount his bike and return it to the pits. After work on it by the mechanics, he returned to the track and finished P15. Iker Lecuona (Team HRC) had a crash at Turn 16 right at the end of the session, with the #7 taken to the medical centre for a check-up following his crash. The top six from WorldSBK FP3, full results here: 1. Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati) 1’44.660s 2. Alex Lowes (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK) +1.089s 3. Axel Bassani (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK) +1.713s 4. Michael van der Mark (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) +1.731s 5. Álvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati) +1.810s 6. Lecuona ruled unfit for Saturday action following high-speed FP3 crash Saturday, 20 April 2024 The Spaniard was showing strong pace in the wet but a crash at the final chicane in the closing stages of FP3 means he’ll miss out on Superpole and Race 1 Iker Lecuona (Team HRC) won’t take any further part on Saturday at the Pirelli Dutch Round following his Free Practice 3 tumble at the TT Circuit Assen. The #7 crashed on the entry to Turn 16 and was initially taken to the medical centre for a check-up before he was re-assessed before the Tissot Superpole session after he suffered from a right knee contusion. Following his reassessment, Lecuona was declared unfit for Saturday’s action with knee pain and functional impairment on his right knee. His participation for Sunday will be determined ahead of tomorrow’s Warm Up session. The 2024 season has proven tricky so far for Lecuona and Honda. The one-time podium finisher missed the Australian Round through injury after a crash in the pre-round Official Test, although he was back for Round 2 in Barcelona. He has a best result of 13th this season – in Race 1 at the second round – but did not score points in the Tissot Superpole Race or Race 2 on home soil, after he was taken out by Bradley Ray (Yamaha Motoxracing WorldSBK Team) in the latter.

FIRST BLUE POLE: Rea takes maiden Yamaha pole position at Assen as he fends off Bulega, Bautista P7 Saturday, 20 April 2024 It was an emotional day for Rea as he stormed to top spot in Superpole as he beat Bulega by just under a tenth Jonathan Rea (Pata Prometeon Yamaha) claimed his first pole position for Yamaha in the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship after a dramatic Tissot Superpole session at the TT Circuit Assen. The #65 had endured a difficult start to life in blue but he mastered the wet-but-drying conditions perfectly to take pole position at a circuit he’s enjoyed so much success at, with Rea joined on the front row by Championship leader Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati) and 2021 Champion Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team). SOME RAIN FALLS AGAIN: wet but a rapidly drying track… Rain started falling just seconds before the pit lane opened to add even more drama to the 15-minute session, although the worst of the track conditions were towards the end of the lap even with constant improvement. At the halfway stage of the session, Jonathan Rea (Pata Prometeon Yamaha) was the pacesetter with a 1’43.444s before he went even faster on his next lap to post a 1’43.026s and even further to a 1’42.650s, showing the track evolution as it dried out, although he did face competition from Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati) who was just a tenth away from the #65. TAKING A FRONT ROW: Rea to lead away the grid Despite the track drying, times didn’t improve too much with Rea able to hold on to claim a first Yamaha pole position, and making it poles with three different manufacturers, joining Noriyuki Haga and Stephane Mertens and only behind Troy Corser with six. It’s his 44th pole position and his first in 203 days, with his last coming at Portimao last year, while it was also Great Britain’s 160th pole position. He was 0.094s clear of Bulega, who had been so impressive in the fully wet FP3 session. He’s made it three front row starts in three rounds in his rookie season. Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) claiming third place with a 1’43.003s, around 0.353s down on Rea. TWINS INSEPARABLE: Sam leads Alex in Superpole The second row will feature Sam Lowes (ELF Marc VDS Racing Team) and twin brother Alex Lowes (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK), with the pair going from fourth and fifth respectively. Sam posted a 1’43.190s to lead his brother by just a couple of tenths and they’ll be hoping they battle each other on track potentially for a podium. Remy Gardner (GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team) has been fast at Assen so far and secured a second row start as he looks for a first rostrum in WorldSBK. CHAMPION WITH WORK TO DO: P7 for Bautista, Spinelli impresses Defending Champion Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati) will line up from the third row after taking seventh. It’s a season-best Superpole result for the #1 and he’ll be hoping he can repeat his feats from Australia and Barcelona where he was able to challenge for the podium. He’s joined on the third row by former teammate Michael Ruben Rinaldi (Team Motocorsa Racing) in eighth with Andrea Iannone (Team GoEleven) in ninth. After a difficult weekend so far, Andrea Locatelli (Pata Prometeon Yamaha) will lead away the fourth row, joined by stand-in rider Nicholas Spinelli (Barni Spark Racing Team) who took 11th. DRAMA FOR THE HOME HERO: tyre gamble fails to pay off… Michael van der Mark (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) had tried a tyre gamble by pitting for fresh wet tyres but a crash at Turn 5 on his first flying lap with the new tyres ruined his chance of hauling himself up the order. After he didn’t pit following his crash, he lost his last lap time and will line up from 13th place. The top six from WorldSBK Superpole, full results here: 1. Jonathan Rea (Pata Prometeon Yamaha) 1’42.650s 2. Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati) +0.094 3. Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) +0.353s 4. Sam Lowes (ELF Marc VDS Racing Team) +0.540s 5. Alex Lowes (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK) +0.792s 6. Remy Gardner (GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team) +0.983s

DEBUTANT VICTORY: Spinelli wins red-flagged Race 1 after intermediate tyre gamble pays off Saturday, 20 April 2024 The Italian was the only rider to use the intermediate tyres in Race 1 and it paid off handsomely as he claimed a win on debut A tyre gamble and a fortunately timed red flag allowed Nicholas Spinelli (Barni Spark Racing Team) to claim a stunning debut win in the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship, while it was also the team’s first win in the WorldSBK class. After bursting into the lead and pulling out a 25-second lead on intermediate tyres before his rivals started closing him down but, with the red flags shown at the TT Circuit Assen, the Italian was able to take a debut win during the Pirelli Dutch Round. TYRE CHOICES: most on slicks… one on an all-intermediate call Spinelli gambled with tyres by starting with a front and rear intermediate tyre on his Panigale V4 R, becoming a race leader in his first WorldSBK outing and moving four seconds clear at the end of Lap 1, before that increased to 14 seconds at the end of Lap 2. In doing so, he became the 10th youngest race leader in WorldSBK history. At the end of the opening lap, Sam Lowes (ELF Marc VDS Racing Team), Michael Ruben Rinaldi (Team Motocorsa Racing) and Philipp Oettl (GMT94 Yamaha) all opted to pit, with Sam Lowes having an issue and dropping a lap down. CONDITIONS IMPROVE, IANNONE CRASHES: Spinelli leads the way with a big margin With conditions improving, riders on slick tyres were able to find grip and time, although Andrea Iannone (Team GoEleven) pushed a bit too hard and crashed at Turn 3 and he retired from the race. By the end of Lap 8, Spinelli’s lead was being cut with it coming down to 19 seconds as the track continued to dry. The fight was for second on track but a potential victory on the cards, with Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati), Alex Lowes (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK) and Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) all in the mix. The #54 ran wide at Turn 1 at the start of Lap 9, which allowed Bautista and Alex Lowes through, but he remained in contention for the podium. RED FLAG COMES OUT: Spinelli on top, Razgatlioglu just beats Bautista At the start of Lap 13, the gap was down to 11 seconds as he ran about three seconds slower on his intermediates, with Bautista leading the hunt of the Italian. However, on Lap 14, Razgatlioglu overtook Bautista at the final chicane to move into second place and was soon on Spinelli’s tail with his pace advantage. However, with the #54 closing in, the red flags were shown due to oil on track after Andrea Locatelli (Pata Prometeon Yamaha) had a technical issue at Turn 15 on Lap 15. It’s the first time WorldSBK’s had two debutant winners in a single season – after Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati) in Australia and Spinelli – since 1996 and only the third time in history. The red flag meant Razgatlioglu finished second with Bautista third. It was Razgatlioglu’s 120th podium as he closes in on Troy Corser in second place in the all-time list, while it was also Bautista’s 94th rostrum to put him level with Troy Bayliss. JUST MISSING OUT: Gardner fourth, Rea sixth Remy Gardner (GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team) equalled his best WorldSBK result to take fourth place, finishing just six seconds away from Spinelli, with Alex Lowes (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK) in fifth and Jonathan Rea (Pata Prometeon Yamaha) dropping down to sixth – still taking his best Yamaha result – but in what was the chasing group after starting from pole position. The last rider of the second group was Michael van der Mark (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) who finished seventh, just a tenth behind Rea. BEST OF 2024: Redding claims first top ten of the season Behind the battle for the podium was a smaller group fighting for the top eight, with Scott Redding (Bonovo Action BMW) taking his best result of 2024 in eighth, finishing six seconds down on van der Mark but ensured three BMWs were in the top eight. Axel Bassani (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK) was quick in the opening stages and claimed ninth, his best result with Kawasaki, with Xavi Vierge (Team HRC) completing the top ten to equal his best result of the season. IN THE POINTS: Bulega's Championship lead cut, Locatelli points despite technical problem Bulega dropped out of the top ten to finish in 11th place, ahead of Locatelli who was classified in 12th despite his technical problem. Dominique Aegerter (GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team) was 13th after fighting his way up the grid, with Tarran Mackenzie (PETRONAS MIE Racing Honda) equalling his best finish of 14th and Bradley Ray (Yamaha Motoxracing WorldSBK Team) completing the points scorers. Garrett Gerloff (Bonovo Action BMW), Adam Norrodin (PETRONAS MIE Racing Honda), Philipp Oettl (GMT94 Yamaha) and Sam Lowes were the last classified riders. Michael Ruben Rinaldi (Team Motocorsa Racing) retired after a technical problem, with Tito Rabat (Kawasaki Puccetti Racing) and Iannone also non-finishers.
