"RFK has swapped the pit crews, except for the fueler, for the Buescher and Stenhouse teams (47 gets crew from RFK) starting at Talladega. Would think RFK wants its two best-performing crews on the 6 and 17 so that appears to be reason for the swap between the 17 and 47."

Look at all the carnage yesterday caused by ill-timed "blocks".
NASCAR seriously needs to put their foot down and limit this crap to 1 change of lanes before somebody ends up getting killed.

Gregson and Bubba get the dumbass of the race award. But they are 2 of the biggest dumbasses out there so it is fitting. Busch was told to pit, doesn't, and wins. Miscommunication turned out be a good thing.
At least the clowns waited until the white flag to cause their owners pain in the checkbook.

Considering the hit that Larson's car got - glad it was on the passenger side of the car. If it had been on the drivers side Kyle might not be walking away from Talladega.

I seriously hate plate racing. All freaking luck and no skill. Notice how the carnage from the Xfinity race was used in the promos. NASCAR knows that a large group of fans love the crashes. For me, yuck. Bulldoze and build a short track, or just use the road course.

NASCAR is fine with this though, it’s good marketing and the cost of doing business to them. Since nobody has been seriously hurt since 2001, they think this is a safe form of racing. Sadly, it’s only inevitable something goes wrong. Yes, racing is dangerous, but this is tempting fate. I said the same thing about indycar before 2012. It was only a matter of time and then Vegas happened. |
