My point is, the circus the Sky team was making of the entire weekend had that been anyone else other than Russel or Lando they would have made it out to be a normal boring race. They didn't mention the dominance of the car ONCE yesterday or on Saturday. I am not upset with the outcome of the race anyone with half a brain knew Max wasn't going to win. After this weekend I bet Redbull take as much wing out of that car as they can for the next three races...... I keep pointing out that it's the Brit feed so what do you expect. The Dutch feed goes nuts for Max. The Spanish feed goes nuts for Fernando and so on.... But still, coming from 20th to 5th in 24 laps and then tenth to first in the race is no small feat. As was noted, no one has won Brazil from lower than 8th. So yes, it is a big deal. It is a bit bizarre that the Brits a full supporters of the German team. McLaren and Williams are forgotten.

Max did a great job of keeping his car under control during his defense of Lewis's attack.
He was on the limit.

Max did a great job of keeping his car under control during his defense of Lewis's attack. He was on the limit. Yes; he dive bombed and gained an advantage by going off track. The only reason they didn't crash is because Lewis is smart enough to know it wasn't worth it. I mean, it's pretty straightforward to just brake late if you are a bit behind on the inside and push the other driver off the track.

McLaren and Lando get a lot of love, and to imagine that George is ignored in the Williams would be.....interesting. I think that other than Ferrari and the Italians, most people follow drivers more than teams from a nationality standpoint (and basically Mercedes F1 is essentially British across the board other than funding, anyway).

SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS....Silverstone. 5 second penalty for causing collision. Wait...there was no collision. Genius move from Max. Harsh racing but nothing illegal

Harsh racing but nothing illegal So the key is to allow the divebombing driver to hit you so they get a penalty? That makes zero sense. He gained an advantage by going off the track (he was behind at the braking point).

If it wasn't to be driven upon - it would not be paved.

If it wasn't to be driven upon - it would not be paved. This is true. Nether of them would have gone into that corner that hot if that paved run off area was a gravel trap.

I was thinking of that when Max pushed him left in Texas this year. But the question is; was Hamilton penalized for those crashes? In most or many of the cases the answer is yes.

The difference is that Lewis could have made the corner at the speed he entered. He had to unwind the wheel to avoid Max. Actually Max probably could have stayed on the track, too, if he had actually turned in.

"When always the decisions swing against you, it's just something that I'm just angry about, and I will defend my team, my drivers to what comes.
"I've always been very diplomatic in how I discuss things. But diplomacy has ended today." - Total Wolff -----------------------------("When always the decisions swing against you...") Whaaatt?Toto Wolff has come unhinged!

Oh no. Perez stealing fastest lap from king Lewis. What a disgrace. Mercedes would never show such unsporting behavior...LOL. Exactly. At this point, with this appeal to reopen the incident, I can no longer muster up any respect at all for Mercedes AMG F1 ... after winning in utterly dominant fashion despite being caught with an illegal car & being lucky that it was a sprint weekend, then crying after the race about another driver doing the same thing that Lewis has done to win a championship in the past, without even an investigation iirc. They've had a massive advantage since before this PU era even started, and lobbied hard to entrench it with the idiotic and incredibly restrictive token system. This kind of behavior after all of their success is a really bad look imho. Fuck crying Lewis and bitchass Toto.

Breaking news the guy with the fastest car all weekend won the race..... You could also argue the sprint race also saved his ass, he would have probably finished second if this was a normal weekend. Yes, of course the sprint race saved Lewis's ass. He'd have been last on the race grid in a normal weekend. And not having to start in the pit lane for the sprint helped, too. Why was he allowed to start at the back of the grid?
