Nah. I think Alonso's DRS was not working that day. In fact, it wasnt even invented yet. Hamilton without DRS would have crashed Alonso out. I believe Hamilton passed Alonso after Fernando overcooked turn 1. LOL..It took Hamilton 11 laps and crying like a bitch to pass Alonso on the fastest car of the grid and fresh tires. It was enough to give Ocon the victory and Vettel 2nd. Even got Max some damage limitation.

When economics are involved in the total equation - eye for an eye is the only way. Do away with the cost cap and you can do away with eye for an eye. Bull shit. Racing is expensive. The only teams who are complaining are the ones who used to have unlimited budgets. The ones who have raced for years with less than the max cap of the present day always knew what it took to get to the track. If the big boys didn't know what it would cost then they are fools. If they can't pay their bills then it's time to quit but don't make someone else pay so you can stay on top. And when Q ball Bottas takes out both Haas on consecutive races and causes Alfa to write off a chassis - sound fair to me

And what about the Team that wrecks itself and blames someone else....I agree a hot mess that no one should want to discuss. Also if Red Bull wants X dollars for a front wing does Williams get more or less, what about Mercedes? What if a car gets hit by several other cars who decides which Team pays how much? ie 'oh no that wing wasn't destroyed until that other team hit the wing so my team isn't paying'. The way the Teams Engineers can parse the words now this could become a Lawyers dream case of a lifetime!!!

All hail Fred, drive of the day right there. Bonus points for helping prove Lulu's hypocrisy beyond a doubt. After a few days of contemplation I'm wondering about the value of 2022 cars without the dirty air.

Seb would've passed Ocon sooner and been farther up to road by the time lulu got to fred...and Forced Nepotism would be fighting to retain a win rather than a 2nd place right now.

In 2022 someone will come up with a car that produces more dirty air than ever before and they will be cheered for it.

In 2022 someone will come up with a car that produces more dirty air than ever before and they will be cheered for it. Dirty air is where they have been spending their wind tunnel time for decades. Especially tweaks where they can gain a little downforce, reduce drag and amplify dirty air off the rear.

It's kind of funny given that his infamy is, in part, due to his inability to get by PETROV!!

And again, that is because people inherently mean "english-language press". Do you think Hamilton comes out better than Alonso in the Spanish press? Does Hamilton come out better than Max in the Dutch press? Are Hamilton/Norris/Russell venerated in the Italian press? The Brazilian press?
It's just like the Olympics; the home-country press supports their local athletes. I don't know why anyone would expect anything different. Just stick to the Spanish press, Fernando, and you will be just fine.

It seems like they could have done SOMETHING to pull the fuel cell or whatever to see what was really there. I mean, the DQ was huge and I am surprised that the team wouldn't sit there and take the car apart until they could get the fuel out (if it was actually there). Trying to prove later that there should have been sufficient fuel seems like a losing strategy.

^ The Bottom Line is that Lewis is the "Golden-boy" and any attempt to deny him yet another championship is socio-politically out of bounds.
