Funny how Lewis was complaining about Alonso running him close in a fast corner. He said something like "we're going too fast for him to be driving like that." Lewis should go back and see how he drove Max in an even faster corner at Silverstone. According to Lewis there are two sets of rules in F1. Rules for everyone and a special set of rules for him.
MB would take a 5 place grid penalty every week if they could get the same outcome as today. Bottas' blunder was very fortunate and profitable for his team. He easily was the Driver of the Race for the Merc team. It would be nice is they could get repaid for what they did today. A five place grid penalty isn't even a slap on the wrist for the destruction he caused and the benefit his team received. Its almost as bad as the 10 second penalty that Lewis got at Silverstone.

And, uh oh Vettel may did not have had enough fuel left for a sample.
Penalty could be anywhere from a fine to disqualification. Last time it happened was to Vettel in 2012 after qualifying and the result was no time recorded and a pit lane start for the race.

I am very concerned about this.
I think LuLu should sit out the rest of the season so he can heal.

There are also rumors a second car may be involved possibly because Russell stopped right after the flag. That would be really cruel.

So does that mean Lewis NOT in 1st place in the WDC despite Buttas taking out most of the front runners?

That's great! Now Hamilton has second place and increases his point lead over Max and RB even further. Toto should be looking for anyway possible to DQ Alpeen and Ocon so they can get the win. I wish I had the luck of Lewis. If he would have landed on Omaha Beach on D-Day I think he could have walked to the front lines without a scratch carrying nothing more than an umbrella.

I wondered about this after today's race. He looked pretty wobbly on the Podium and seemed really tired and out of breath in the post race interview. Poor guy. I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Hats off to Ocon who drove most of the race under intense pressure and didn't put a foot wrong. In that he one-upped his co-driver who locked up his brakes and let Lewis through. Fun to watch Mick get his elbows out. Why does F1 race at these tracks where overtaking is so difficult?

I wonder what the restart would have looked like had Hambone also pitted for tires after the Red Flag.
