With the 4th of July already upon us, Dale Coyne Racing are playing musical chairs. This time, it will be former Indy Lights race winner Ryan Norman who will be on-board the #52 in conjunction with Rick Ware Racing in his home-state. The Cleveland native will join fellow drivers Romain Grosjean and Ed Jones at the July 2-4 Mid-Ohio race. www.indycar.com/News/2021/06/06-24-Norman-Coyne

The future in Rahal Letterman Lanigan could shine once again. RLL have brought back Santino Ferrucci as their 3rd car for the Mid-Ohio event. So far, he has scored 3 top 10s in his 3 events. If he can get the funding, then RLL could become a 3-car team in the future. COBRA KAI GETTING DEWS!!!www.indycar.com/News/2021/06/06-28-Ferrucci-RLL-MidOhio

Just as the news of Felix Rosenqvist is returning, Ed Carpenter Racing got the news that Rinus Vee Kay officially got his medical clearance as he returns to the #21 car for Mid-Ohio after suffering a bike accident resulting an injured clavicle. www.indycar.com/News/2021/06/06-30-VeeKay-Returns

I have my doubts about that.

Newgarden just rubs Colton Herta in the final minute of the Fast 6 to take the pole for Mid-Ohio.

Power & Dixon got together in Madness with Power spinning and getting collected by Ed Jones. Power & Jones out.

A couple more laps and Marcus might have won this race. Glad to see Newgarden get the win.

That was a lot of unnecessary shouting from the commentators box on the last lap. All Newgarden had to do was manage the gap between the backmarkers and Ericson, which he did nicely.

Sorry for the absence. Had a long night shift at the hotel. Saw everything. Ericsson finally found his zone even in 2nd. That gives Chips his future on his drivers to become the next heir apparent of Dixon. Grosjean has well impressed us and the paddock so Dale Coyne has a great future for his driver.
What could I say for Ferrucci? Will RLL gamble to bring a 3rd full-time car? Possibly in 2022. Want to see how many events will Cobra Kai race this year.
And congrats to Josef for being tied with Ryan Hunter-Reay as an active winningest US driver in Indy Car with a tie with 19 wins. Newgarden vey anxious for him hometown race next month.

That was a lot of unnecessary shouting from the commentators box on the last lap... It's what they do best... Sky Sports is worse...

First time at Mid-Ohio and it was a blast. The weather was fantastic all weekend, save for some clouds on Friday. Jimmie Johnson did not spin at all on Sunday and Newgarden collected his first win of the year in the first IndyCar race I've attended since 2008, so I guess I'm their good-luck charms. Will Power, on the other hand, has completed 12 out of a possible 380 laps in races I've attended. Sorry, Will. Took a bunch of pictures, too. Having been a Mid-Ohio spectator and participant since the 1970 Trans-Am - Glad you had a good weather weekend, too often the track lives up to its nickname - Mud-Ohio. Last time I spectated at M-O was the 1987 CART race where it poured all day race day. Since then I began my own SCCA racing career and have driven M-O in anger since 1989, with my last crack at the place being the SCCA Runoff's in 2016.
